Yeah I also figured out it was a character issue, cuz I had no problems with other characters when the problem happened to me. I think that next restart/crash will fix it for you though.
Everyone gets fixed sooner or later, we just need to figure out how to get this done.
Okay, I've tried leaving the guild, rejoining the same guild, then joining another guild. Seems to be a problem specifically with the roster, and all the sources of info where you can see who from your guild is online, or how many are online.
I did see that i did NOT get the bug after i ran an MSP, so I tested that specifically, by just running in and out, and was able to repeat the outcome... Cant explain why.
Edit: It only delayed the crash/freeze by a minute, did not fix it, sorry.
I had same problem , first it was freezing random, now its freezing only when i open guild tab , bug is still there since realm started... couldnt fix it so i just dont opening guild tab xD
I have it too and the freezing seems to happen only on my one toon and it is so frustrating pls fix this ASAP.

The same is currently happening to me but NOT when opening/closing guild bank or calendar. It's only happening on 1 of my characters, my DK, and only when I use Frost spells. (realm: Neltharion) I've been successfully playing other characters on the same realm with the same client and had no issues. I've tried deleting cache, but it didn't help. Like the OP, I've only been able to close the game via Task Manager after it freezes.

hmmm i think that this is the cause of rdf.... if you crash/freeze somewhere in a dungeon... you get bugged... i found out that after rdf reset.. the bug is gone.... happend to me twice in deadmines now..... everything turned normal after rdf reset
So no one in sargeras knows this yet?
The freeze is cause by an instance lockout , Example Deadmines HC , Sethekk Halls HC, MSV , any type of instance lock then you open calender or guild panel your client will freeze
Its well known in frostwolf.
+ The seemingly random freeze when you press nothing is caused by rapidly dismounting.
Example : entering buildings while mounted , getting dazed , casting ability that automatically dismounts you.
Happened to me 999999 times in the most crucial moments of my life .
