To answer the OP.
1.) Retail Blizzard does have PVE servers, and there are more people playing on PVE servers than PVP, thats how it has always been. The activity charts show this, its not speculation is a fact.
2.) Warmane has never done this.
3.) If Warmane opened a PvE server, or simply offered a PvE flag on existing servers even if it was a premium option, and if somehow we could advertise to the private server world that this option or server existed then it would be the highest population realm in the private server universe.
The reasons that it would be hugely popular are easy to see.
1.) Most warcraft players prefer PVE as documented fact.
2.) It is extremely rare to find a PVE server offering done correctly in the private server world. So over half of every player on every private server in the world would climb over any mountain to join a PVE server in the private server world.
3.) Private servers would steal a chunk of retail blizzard players that have been forced to stay with blizzard to have a good PVE option.
Quite frankly if it was somehow possible to get the word out to all WOW players retail and private that Warmane was making a PvE flag available most likely the queues would be so big we'd have to open 15 new servers all capped at 6k players, each would have a 2hour queue 24/7.
Yeah yeah, advertising here is no good, so it would take awhile for the 100,000 plus players which want PVE private to work their way here, but thats a good thing, it allows time for growth. The idea is a hugely missed opportunity and private servers are extremely dumb for not taking advantage of it. Not just because they are missing huge potential gains in players and profit, but the quality of play for over 50% of existing players would go up tremendously, and the overall intelligence of the community would go way up. It is a true shame.
