This is a hype day!
This looks like the first game Film that will actually do well :D
Can't wait. Don't care about the CGI. Toni is right, Lord of the Rings had a larger budget to do all that.
This will have to do since its the first film
I heard its a trilogy so if this movie does well, i'm sure they can get a higher budget for the next film and make it look insane.
Spoiler:Show
This movie is going to suck. I'm sorry but its true. If you like the lore then you've already realized this movie isn't going to be based on the lore so much. The Orcs are uncorrupted. What's up with that? That's why their appearance isn't fierce. I don't understand either how they're working with the Alliance. Against who?? If they made a movie about W3 then that's just terrible. A traditional Warcraf: Orcs Vs Humans and dark portal would make a much better movie. Then again its Hollywood, they could combine the entire Warcraft lore into a 3 hour movie. Its tragic but I think its safe to say while this movie will be fun and were going to cherish it any way, I can't say i don't think it will be very lore-oriented and smashed together like a lot of book movies.
Also, the Legion cinematic was way cooler. Why haven't they made a web series or even a movie with their CGI?
Why is Dalaran flying?
But Orc vs Humans are Warcraft 2, so probably a sequel. Well for me WC3 campaign is the best ever but they are going for trilogy I think.
Also I noticed just like you, how is that horde is cooperate with alliance, at least part of the horde? That is not in the lroe
''Also, the Legion cinematic was way cooler. Why haven't they made a web series or even a movie with their CGI?''
That would be awesome, for us, fans. I can give you simple answer cuz ther isnt any other- MONEY. They are going for 1 billion ez with this movie. Plus, basic audience buying warcraft + WOW game. Thats a huge income.
Orcs who didnt drink the Blood ,ie, Orgrim, Frostwolf Clan etc were uncorrupted one and they kept a brownish tint (Movie goers wont be able to differentiate so they over exaggerated the details I guess) but their offspring was affected due to exposure to fel energy.
Also from what I guess is that the Orcish rebellion within the clans (Orgrim and Durotan was kinda planning to overthrow Blackhand and the Shadow Council) is extended in the movie plot to include cooperation with the Alliance.
Its not so far out the canon plot to be bad. But lets see.
Well the movie is based on the Warcraft 1, with some changes, and some additions from the current WoW. They said it the best on Blizzcon, the movie is for all Warcraft fans, but they also had to somehow find a way to introduce the movie to normal audiences who never heard of Warcraft.
As for the CGI, ppl need to chill about it, the movies comes out in like 7 months, CGI can be polished fine by then, just remember the Jurassic World trailer and how everyone was ****ting on it because of bad CGI dinosaurs, but in the movie it all looked fine.
But I got to say the part with lil' Thrall being sent down the river like Moses was funny tho, no need for that, but w/e.
I'm absolutely 100% over hyped for this movie and can't wait for the realse. I'll be prebooking tickets weeks in advance to go see it.
To be honest the trailer didn't look thaaat great but being blizzard and how awesome their lore and cgi is, I'm sure the trailer doesn't do it justice.
Well, yeah, they still have time to fix this obvious green screen. Altho I have a feeling that this movie will be a dissapointment.
I think that most people would rather see a film made entirely like the WotLK cinematic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCr7y4SLhck
