Would be nice to merge DW and Ragnaros after core update. ^^
I dont llike the ideo of a force split. If they want to open another 3.3.5 x1, just close creating new chars Lordaeron.

i believe split server is not considerable option. Now lordaeron is fresh and all but once ppl start to farm icc over and over pop will redecrease. I like as it is now honestly, pretty much everywhere i go i see ppl and this makes me happy =)
This is already considered and would be the best thing to do atm. Making that merge into one realm and then porting Lord core, so we would have two solid Lord realms with around 7k ppl online. One hardcore, second not much.
Exactly this^
Now Lord is just on a hype wave and nothing more. After they release WOTLK and we will be stuck with endless ICC farm population will drop for sure. It might be 1k or 2k or things might end up like on old Lord.
They even should consider releasing WOTLK when its ready.. TBC wasnt ready to release ,still they did it cause of ppl whining.
open another sever with x3 rates.
What for ? To split population into 4 realms ? Having here few, there and there few playing ? Lord is doing good with 8k+ players, its impressive. Now, one day they should merge Deathwing and Ragnaros into one, which would result in having Two highly populated LK realms. With new core its even possible to have 10k ppl playing. They just need time to improve core but its already awesome.
When the core is applied to rag/dw, it's safe to assume population growth will slow significantly. Lord may also lose players. As such, making another realm assuming the same growth rate over the next year would be flawed logic. For now it's best to wait until the core is applied to our other two realms before judging the need for another realm...
If they disallow multiboxing, there will be more space for other people to play.
Please, 8k is less than half of what were blizz servers capable of puting out without ANY stability issues. My server from the end of Wotlk to this day has gone from 20 to 24k players (over 420k characters) and it's alliance only.
The goal is 10k player cap. If it pasts this they will probably split it.
I am not completely sure, but afaik in wotlk they had battlegrounds which contained multiple servers, cross-realm came later.
Wether it was multiple servers or not, fact is they had a ton of people stacked on servers back then, TM for example being one of the unstable servers due to it being old technology, but still being well over 5 digits I believe.
