I heard about a perfectly working system on some private server (not naming it since I don't advertise) where there isn't a sentinel anti cheat but just a perfectly working anti cheat/hack system that instantly bans players who fly when they are not supposed to and go faster than usual when they are not supposed to.
Isn't such a system possible here where the system checks if you are by foot, mounted or on flying mount and other checks for movement increasing effects and just instantly bans the player when he's going to fast for his checked conditions? Then we could delete this anti sentinel and have a proper working anti cheat/hack.
In the end I would vote for getting rid of the anti cheat and just giving a perma ban to cheaters/hackers.
My main character is a feral druid, sprint (dash) NEVER bugged, this is a LIE people make do justify disable of anti-cheat. And yes, "Feral Charge" does bug out from time to time, but again, for ME, in over +/- 100 uses, never bugged out more then 5-8 times, people like to exaggerate to an extreme level just to justify the disable of anti-cheat, why is that?? yes i`m a paranoid person, that doesnt justify the exaggeration of some issues.
Is this latency related? This never happened to me as well but my latency is very low compared to most others playing her (around 10 ms),
Maybe, cause I get it all the time. I've had it when I dashed down wsg tunnel, and the camera changed from inside to outside tripped the bug. Travel form away from melee + any snares or stunes = character uncontrollable for up to 5 seconds.
I'm well over 100+ times, many being the direct cause of dying in pvp.
Naah it had nothing to do with latency (around 40 ms here), its about shifting movement speeds, for example when you fly you have a movement speed of 150% or 280% and when you want to land it switches to 100%, so when you land it doesnt kick in immediately and the anti-cheat recognizes it as a glitch and reacts to it, you can try it for yourself, just use your flying mount, take off with space and come down with X, verticaly, and then fly up and land while moving forward, it will trigger it. Its just a matter of fine tuning it, atm its just way to sensitive.
M8 I came here to PVP mainly, now you tell me that if most of my charges end up in spasms it's a small issue? An anti-cheat system is a great addition if it doesn't interfere with gameplay. It does, majorly. I'll choose being able to charge/fly mount any day, never gave a flying **** about speedhackers because they didn't bother me and were banned eventually, but now they interfere with my gameplay via proxy.
Molten was ****ing merged with Arena Tournament(Top pvp server) and you're saying making charges stun yourself is a small issue?
So many arena matches can be lost due to this, might even make charge centered(warriors/ferals/rogue shadowstep) classes unwanted in competitive play.
Also, do you really think many people will speedhack on an x1 realm?
Oh and if you'll try to dismiss my post just because my account is new **** you, I've played on molten when Kaer went and made it after leaving that other ****ty server that I wont name.
If they can't turn down its sensitivity, I'm all for it being turned off. It really punishes a few classes extremely hard
But there will be a lot of hackers, and perma bans would be needed. Even then, people would use it to level and travel, where there is no one to screen cap them.
