Frost, or just go blood?

It's possible, but probably weaker than blood or frost in most situations. DK can even tank without talents :)

Unholy passives:
* 8% dmg reduction from prost presence + 5% blade barrier
* 8% magic dmg reduction + bigger AMS

Actives:
* Bone Shield (probably still bugged and has no ICD, which means drops real fast on adds/fast hitting bosses)
* 15% max hp Death Strike (~6k heal at 40k hp)
* AMZ
* 12sec IBF

So yeah, same passives as blood only with less hp, no safeguard. Better vs magic dmg, comparable Death Strike to Blood, but no other healing. Bone Shield might be decent on bosses, but weak on trash.

I can't find any evidence if this is the case or not in 3.3.5. At least in 4.0.3, only your main hand is registered for healing

Death strike heal and damage are two different things. Threat of Thassarian only affects damage component, read the talent description. It was bugged in old TrinityCore versions (before 2012-ish), on Lordaeron it works correctly (since on retail it never did double healing).

aw i see now this bug (implemented fix kek) is fixed only now despise it beeing reported on bugtracker for like 4 years now
