unnecessary changes like the upcoming ones creates schism and grief among players. on top of that we got newcomers with attitudes that should've been shoved up their own holes. this could've been all avoided, but no turning back nowQuote:

Being selfish is not an objetive opinion. Many people like grinding even if it's x7, x5, x3, x1,... but many other people don't have time for that. It's not about like/dislike insta rep, it's about time. Since WoW was released times have changed and the people who had 13-14 years old on vanilla now have 24-25, have family, work, studies, responsabilities, and don't have time to stay grinding a rep for eternity. Servers are for players and fixes/changes should make happy (or try to) to the most people. When you read all the feedback posts in the forums, you see like 80-90% of people complains about rep changes (not even on gold or prof). I find that "unnecesarily ridiculous".Quote:

And I know official thread is closed and this comments and topics have a little effect, but I hope someone could actually think about it before the change comes. It's still better to say something than to mindlessly follow every change and by the community reactions the game can be improved the most.
I just don't get the desire to turn the game into a grindfest. This was the perfect server to relax on a few hours a night and it wouldn't take you months and months as a casual to be useful.
Is this because their prized child lord server population has dropped to more than half and is getting worse everyday and they want people to stop transferring to icecrown?
They should at least make it a sliding scale rate system and let the player decide, let them choose 1x to 10x exp, profs, rep rates.
The community is so against this it seems crazy to ignore everyone.

These changes will happen. Mitigate any negative effect on yourself as best you can, 3 months is plenty of time.
For me they will only yield positive results already. Furthermore I really hope icecrown population drops to under 8k by the middle of next year so we get a load the server is capable of handling without this ridiculous "optimization" which essentially destroys doing anything in world by reducing awareness to 35 yards ... or next to you.
Note: this optimization is obviously preferable to having the instanced bg/raid experience destroyed.
This is exactly why its bad for us, for everyone, specially Neltharion and Frostwolf players, without newcomers joining do you think the servers will live long enough? Whats the point of rushing all that grind on these 3 months if the server will die after?Quote:
