The population counter is not set on real time, otherwise it could cause instability for sure, even if it's a low population. What i'm saying is, that counter keeps updating every few minutes, so, server might be dead and on the website you could still see it has 13000 players online with 1k waiting in queue.

Also, the population counter is not really based on active players, it includes all in-game players and all players who are waiting AFK in the character selection screen. This is why Kaer once said that there is population tweak by 15%. Something like that.

Just tested this, seems like counter refreshes every min or so, still a bit innacurate for offline time being around 5 mins or so.

I appreciate you clearing the active players part, was not aware the character selection screen also played a role.

Still doubt those numbers.

Probably because server crashed after some minutes from the previous crash, 8k ppl joined in between those two? Look, I'm not saying you're wrong or I'm correct, I can admit the number on main page may not be the real thing without probs, thing is, not believing in something doesn't make it right. Lots of players are automatically assuming that population and queues are fake, so I keep asking, where do they get those facts from? Resources? References? Nothing comes, only their own assumption.

Edit - Not only accounts on its char list, add players logging several accounts, multiboxers, they also play a role.

if im going to pour money into something i expect quality :)
currently all i get is crashes every few hours and i that is not quality for me

We (Multiboxers) have less than 100 accounts here in total. So plz blame someone else for ur frustrations. And ofc we all donated. Will donate for 10 more when i get team 1 (5 toons) to 70.

Next time, and before you answer someone, please try to at least match up a correct interpretation with what other people are saying.
1. I'm aware of how many multiboxers are around and how many accounts they use.
2. I'm not blaming anyone on anything, I'm simply mentioning examples of why population number grows faster than it "should". Match all the examples together and check the result by yourself if you dare. Multiboxers may not be the highest mark, but that doesn't mean you don't count.
3. I don't have any frustration on high population, I have premium status on all my accounts aswell, so I can log free whenever I want, so why should I worry?
4. My only "frustration" here is the fact there are players claiming the queue is fake by their own assumption without any reference to prove their words, well, read my posts above, I don't need to repeat myself.
5. Please do donate more, better for me too since I play on the same project as you. The more donations the merrier I'd say, ain't that right?

Agree with u! Population numbers are REAL if u ask me, ppl on Outland jum from every corner of the map, there is 1k ppl on gryphoons non stop, server is fulll and great, players counter on Warmane main page is kinda slow but it shows real numbers if u ask me.

Nor do we have to allow you to stay with us - Forums or the in-game you say you like - if you'll just trashtalk us and call us liars, to the point of admitting to seeing people banned for the same thing/using alts to come do the same, just because you like it here.

About the population:
Isn't it possible to check if the population is accurate by using the census addon to count Characters online?
Maybe even the Warmane staff themself can use the census data as some sort of evidence that the population numbers are real.
If there are rumors that the population numbers are fake then i guess its in Warmanes own interest to disprove these rumors.

Radvo (I believe) did that on either Lordaeron or Icecrown when people were doing similar *****ing about "fake population" and got results that showed the player amount was there. Us doing it wouldn't matter for people who are from the competition trying to plant discord, just trolling, or who believe one of those two groups - they'd just say it was faked too, I bet.

So what about that second realm? You could make it share the database with Outland so when the population dies down, you could merge them easily. Cap Outland to 10k so they have simillar population.

It's been answered multiple times, even by myself. I don't see the need to repeat it.

i believe the server will crash far more often if they raise the server limit, there are around 3-4000 people in que everyday so i think it would be better to make a temporary server until the numbers drop, cause people are gonna quit this server sooner or later, im planning on being here a while so i want to get to lvl cap fast

I get what you mean, but 10 euros shouldn't be any sweat off anyone's back. As stable as Icecrown is, I've donated twice, under two different accounts and have no regrets and I still sometimes have server side lag and a few ex's. It's a private server, it's not perfect, but even with Outlands and it's issues, it's better then retail TBC and more enjoyable then retail Legion.
