Yes, you did. Your comment made it look like there might be some expectation of accuracy for something to be racism, which is false. I just listed other factors that might any or all be also inaccurate, and none of it would matter. A racist comment or insult is racist, whether it "hits the mark" fully, partially or not at all.

Still, while you'd need to get specifics from a GM for in-game situations, I can tell you on the Forums we have an Infraction for discrimination that encompasses a lot more than just racism. It gives enough points to be an automatic ban.

I tell racist players something like "Hey I'm black so you leave me alone!" then printscreen their *** going full on racist, and get them banned.

You're mistaking this place of entertainment and freedom of expression, to an already established workplace, with forced rules, based on their sponsors/partners, who also look to an artificial NORM because they want to rationalize control over every aspect of a person. This has been going on for decades, even before you were born, so it's understandable you think this is normal, because you were born into it. Unfortunately, people join this server, and express themselves like everyone is a potential friend, who will either LIKE or DISLIKE their behavior. This is how most people find their place in this world, and the reason why they choose to come INTO this world, because your communist society won't let them be themselves and isolate them instead. Yeah, being a racist douche is probably stupid, but I'm not going to hang someone for having a stupid opinion, because that's what nazis would do, and I'm not a nazi, are you?

This is why all of these options were created, because blizzard knew that not everyone will get along, because there are different people in this world, from different walks of life. For some reason, people deem it some sort of privilege to demand tyranny for people they dislike, when, they themselves, can take care of that issue. These types of people already have rules they need to follow, so they're already being isolated, but YOU, and YOUR TYPE OF PEOPLE, always demand MORE, because you think you're SPECIAL, and you're right! you are special! you don't know how to use the ignore function efficiently.

1. Use the Ignore option
2. Report them so the Mods can review it
3. Leave Global for a bit

Wish they would just take this post down. People are here to kill time and enjoys others company. Take a S/S report it and move on.

First of all, you are delusional if you think freedom of speech and freedom of expression applies between private entities and persons. Freedom of expression is between a person and a government, nothing else. There is no freedom of expression here, there are rules, just like at a workplace based on social norms. What do you think rules are based on if not morals and ethics my mans?

Second of all, tyranny is opressive government rule. This is, once again not a government. Calling rules in a video game tyranny is the most hilariously edgy thing i've heard in a very long time. You seem to think that i and "people like me" instate the rules, but this server makes money by catering to the biggest audience possible and the biggest audience possible doesn't wanna be around overtly racist people. This server also has rules against hacking because it's in their best interest to ban those people, the audience simply doesnt wanna be around hackers.

Take a breath my guy, I don't want them to do anything but their job. Ban the racists and be done with it. You're the one arguing anything other than the rules, not me. I just want these rulebreaking rulebreakers banned like they should be, and they seem to be.

I know a lot of you may disagree with me but I believe that bans should be for harassment and spam , not racism .
Now I am against all types of harassment and unwanted spams on the glob chat , but racially offensive and toxic conversations and statements can be justified or excused in certain situations and context .

And for the record , guilds are the private communities of the players , they may decide to enforce rules that may not match with server or with the world outside or even with the common sense .

Please dont get angry over it , thats just my opinion it may be wrong .

Many people of color who I personally asked are just fine with "Racist jokes" because they are jokes not racism. 1 Friend of mine who was darker then the night (meanwhile I'm whiter then snow) said racism is when someone would personally insult him because he was black or use racist slurs because hes black.
Meanwhile in my country calling someone "black" or even "african" due to their skin color is extremely racist, we say "colored".

See, I'm pretty sure everyone over the age of 10, knows this rule. Nothing more needs to be done here. Everyone just has to accept what already is, instead of trying to lock us down because they don't like it. I don't like stupid questions, but I wouldn't move to ban anyone asking one. That's what this is all about. More rules, more control, when there doesn't need to be, because it's already in a controlled space.

I'm gonna say it again, this discredits the already overly critical mods/GMs who try to sniff this stuff out daily. It's insulting to them. You have to remember, these are the guys who ban people for "ninja looting" in REGULAR dungeons.

Many people do this, that's why I think this rule should be revisited. Maybe making racist statements aimed in general should be punished instead of saying it to someone personally. I can larp as any race and bait someone to get a ban any time of the day.
