Just saw Conjuring 2. Holy moly.
I'm on the Legion PTR and I'm looking at my Frost DK talents.
Winter is Coming
White Walker
Some Dev watches too much GOT
The worst thing about Warcraft was the acting. I can't watch a movie with **** acting, unless if it's The Room. But, Paula Patton and Ben Foster were complete ****. And even if the acting was great, I still think the movie fell short. Some of the fight scenes were great but that is the only thing I can take out of the movie and say that I enjoyed.
But at least the Legion cinematic trailer looks great. If they were to replay that trailer for an hour instead of showing that **** movie, I would have been happier and I wouldn't feel like I wasted 8 dollars.
Could have spent that 8 dollars on something better, like Finding Dory.
When a hater wants to hate he will always find an own logical explanation to hate. I watched the movie myself last night and I didn't find the movie that bad. Sure, it's not one of those movies that will go down to history of Hollywood, however, it's not that bad. I see it as a decent movie that deserves to be picked up through a second movie. Considering the cash flow from the ticketlines they almost have a budget set to go for the starters of the next production. If it was that awful the community wouldn't rate it at a solid 8 on Metacritic as it is. I'll give you an example: Multiple of my friends went to the theatres in order to watch the movie without being aware of how the lore goes - They loved the movie. The only thing that they state is that it can be hard to remember all of the names and personas if you're not paying attention. Your statements remind me of all of those people that showed up in the Internet after the release of the first Lord of the Rings calling the movie boring, badly produced and poorly constructive; After the release of the whole saga they went nuts. I hope you don't end up bitting your own bullet.
Also I was one of the persons that had to turn off the nerd mode and watch the movie ignoring the lore 100% and appreciate the effort behind it. It was decent. Multiple characters were really interesting to see and the way multiple crucial personas showed up in the background was amusing. Made me pay attention to the movie instead of falling asleep in my sofa.
Planning in watching that this weekend. I hope that Conjuring 2 becomes as good as the original Conjuring.
The reason it did so well financially is because of the Blizzard/Warcraft fan base. Blizzard could come out, call their consumers ****ing ******s for liking a **** movie and people would still flock to the sequels. But lets ignore the fans. Multiple of my friends went to the theatres in order to watch the movie without being aware of how the lore goes - and they ****ing thought it was awful.
And just because I'm lazy and I really don't feel like typing out a whole essay on why I think Warcraft was a **** movie. I'll just say opinions are opinions. If you enjoyed the movie, good for you. You didn't waste your money. Even if you and your friends enjoyed it, I still think it's a load of ****. And with that being said. I'll still give the second movie a chance, except this time I'll pirate it.
Best Game of Thrones episode ever.

Agreed on best episode this season.
Warcraft has abysmal critical reviews but positive fan ratings on Metacritic, a combination that usually makes me think a movie is going to be shallow and unoriginal, whatever else. Not that that's always a bad thing: there are plenty of dumb movies that I still enjoyed watching for aesthetics. Your LotR comparison is hilariously inaccurate though; Fellowship of the Ring made a dickton of money at the box office and was obviously well-received. It won Oscars and BAFTAs before the trilogy was all released. Actually, I don't think you could have picked a worse example. All objective benchmarks indicate that people loved the **** out of the Fellowship (sales, reviews, awards). Warcraft is in no way shaping up to be anywhere on par with LotR.

btw nice Nazi avatar, Mercy
Yeah, all of my friends that have never played warcraft/wow said that he movie is total **** and I was the one advertising like blizzard were paying me. But my excuse was pretty good - Bros, this is "the beginning", part 2 will be the real thing, part 1 is just аn introduction.
