When i tried a druid tank it was as easy as 123


as in you just spam 1-2-3 over and over and over and over again. Extremely boring

Don't know about Druid, but DK's have a bit of choice and procs...

There's AoE dot, Single Target dot (Never found a use for this besides pulling, but you have taunt for that... too low damage to finish a running player), Shield stacking spell, Death&Decay+Heart Strike for cleave and bit of self-heal, Death Strike for big ST heal, Artifact for big Cleave heal....

What I hate is that we only have Vampiric Blood as a Defensive (and I guess AMS which is useless on 80% of boss fights)... What I love is that on Bosses I get almost as much healing done as the healer.

I also hate people saying DK's are easy to play :( I'm not a noob (or atleast think I'm not) and I'm struggling with Unholy, heard more say the same. I won't say it's the hardest to play melee (WW Monks take that place), but the rotation isn't error friendly either. (Took me a while to realize you can only pop 4 stacks of festering wounds in pvp... doh, wasted so much damage waiting for runes).


But yeah, useless rant. If you want a challenge in Melee, play WW Monk or UH DK. Arms was pruned, can't really call it complex.. Ret never was incredibly complex, Feral might be a bit trickier than previous two. Haven't heard a single word on Survival Hunters, and I have personally seen 0 surv hunters until now. Shamans are fun, not hard to play, but fun. They really lack survivability and that hurt it a lot for me.

I don't think I can play a pure dps class anymore... 9/10 of my dungeon queues are Tank. Looking forward to leveling my Druid or Paladin, haven't decided.

People that think DKs are faceroll are legitimately ******ed, they're by far the worst tanks atm and still, for the fourth expansion in a row, rely almost entirely on self-healing to stay alive (now even moreso since they removed every bit of damage reduction we have, thanks for giving UH/Frost IBF but not Blood)

finally back to mg1, was gn3 yesterday. Won/tied 11 games lost 2, had a 9 game winning streak

Yeah, if you're into tunneling and using zero parts of the spec's utility, then I guess you could say it was "never" complex up until Cata. You are saying that Ret isn't or has never been complex. That just leads me to believe that you never really played the spec, and you're slapping it based on perceptions given by the usual whiners about how "faceroll" the spec has been, when it's nothing more than a stigma.

Feel free to try and point out why Ret "isn't complex", when it has been for the last 3 expansions (MoP through Legion). I'll show you how you're wrong. (And this specific point can even exclude the utility portion of the spec)

But then again, I don't even know why this argument is a thing. The game isn't difficult by any stretch.
