It's seemed that way to me too. People are a lot more conservative than what they used to be, and seem to be more accepting of what people are. Within reason, that is.Quote:

The start is also dumb beyond belief... "Hello all, I'm Count Shady McDouchebag, I bring you a gift, some woman that I say is the real empress. Yeah, I know who Delilah is. I didn't even get into that, was just looking from a character's point of view who didn't know about her whole vendetta and all. It makes no ****ing sense, even if they thought Corvo was killing Emily's enemies, even if they believed it was under her orders... in the lore of the world that's stuff people see as just part of life, not something to take any random douchebag's words without questioning. The game doesn't portraits any sort of widespread discontent or restlessness over Emily being empress either, so it's not like they just needed an excuse to get rid of her. If this is really it, it feels insulting to the game itself they'd be so lazy after all the story they built in the first game.Quote:
