Rupture is doing damage according to:
1 point : (141 + 20 * 1 * 1 + 0.015 * AP * 1 * 0.5 * 8) damage over 8 seconds
2 points: (141 + 20 * 1 * 2 + 0.024 * AP * 1 * 0.5 * 10) damage over 10 seconds
3 points: (141 + 20 * 1 * 3 + 0.03 * AP * 1 * 0.5 * 12) damage over 12 seconds
4 points: (141 + 20 * 1 * 4 + 0.03428571 * AP * 1 * 0.5 * 14) damage over 14 seconds
5 points: (141 + 20 * 1 * 5 + 0.0375 * AP * 1 * 0.5 * 16) damage over 16 seconds
= (241+0.0375*AP) pet tick at 5 combo points.
If there is a problem with its damage, is not related to skill itself.
The problem with rupture is not it's base damage it's the damage after revealing strike. It doesn't get buffed.
So, if rupture its ok, its time to reroll to sub *.*
Tested sub in a few dungeons yesterday, and even with a lower ilvl main hand dagger could manage to pull more dps (21-22k) then with my combat spec (14-16k) with my current 349 ilvl.
i am confused, i need 2% to hit ? even if my yellow attacks are 10%+ miss chance ??
if some1 can help me, what cap i need to have on hit, for pve combat rogue... pls, thx
Ur Character should have TOTAL 8% hit for combat thats it.
Your yellows miss chance is 5% vs same-levels and 8% vs boss-levels. You get 6% hit from Precision and therefore you only need 2% more to reach the 8% boss-level yellow cap.

Sub rogue can easily do 30k+ atm. Which probably makes it one of t he best specs overall
i was using it in BWD and i only did good dps on chimaeron and maloriak, i think now that mobs give a little more gold, i will retalent my pvp build so i can raid with combat/sub
BTW taralej since our 2nd source of damage (in combat) is from auto attacks the stat priority shouldnt be like:
STAT WEIGHT: Agility>Hit(cap)>Expertise(cap)>Haste>moarhit>Mast ery>Crit ?
