In BGs, though; you'll need to pressure your enemy team before being able to cap a flag, assault a base/bunker or even drop an enemy flag.
I once solo queued into an Alliance team where they had 5 healers (2 of them were really good since I knew them personally) and they still lost cause they hadn't enough damage to pressure our Flag Carrier. It was probably one of the easiest BG I've ever played. So damage DOES matter.
Not only I am really good at my role (as the screenshots show), but quite possibly I am one of the best, if not the best DPS Death Knight on Neltharion.
The only way I could get out-damaged in a BG if I joined the BG too late so I can't catch up or if the other team is totally dominating the BG and "graveyard camping" us. But given that the BG isn't 1-sided and there's enough large group fights I will always come on top of the scoreboard.
