Why is there no catchup conquest?

It doesn't matter if it's required or not. What matters is that it is bugged and as such should be fixed. Priority should be determined by staff and players by voting up the bug. If the bug reaches 200+ votes, it should be prioritized.

I don't understand when we started choosing which bugs "should" be fixed and which shouldn't. All bugs should be fixed because we are advertising a blizz-like realm, and a blizz-like realm would have this feature working.

Also the only people that don't want this fixed are those that need gear to carry them in BGs/Arenas. They rely on others being poorly geared because they are far too unskilled to fight players on a similar ilvl as them. I assure you that the gladiators and top players (of which I am not one of) could hardly care what gear someone wears, they will beat them anyways. The only ones who would complain about making gearing easy for new comers are those that likely aren't able to fight without a gear advantage.

I have to agree with the staff on this one,it's ******ed to get conquest for free just because "I got a new alt" .
Gear as in PvE AND PvP should be earned not given away just like that.
Yeah u will lose some BG's and you will get smashed in arena by fully geared ppl no matter ally or horde.
It is a stupid idea as well looking it from the point of ppl who already got the gear,they grinded arenas and BG's for months to get this gear and you want to come online with your fresh made human hunter and get the same items as them.No.....nooo.....Hell NO!

Mind you, capping weekly still puts people at a clear advantage, as those that lose cap lose a minimum of 1200 CP/week missed.

Pls clarify further on how this so-called "conquest" is gotten by fresh alts for free and not earned. I don't really understand how it's gotten for free like how you said it would be.

Firstly, there is no difficulty at all in getting geared in MOP, you can literally do it afk if you just took long enough. The only investement is time, and not even time played but basicely time spend in the real world because there is a weekly cap. With the mmr system in place and no teams existing and tanking being made harder no matter how bad you are you can still get full pridefull, you never actually "earned" the gear as such because your conquest cap came from logging in, nothing else.

It still takes a giant amount of games won to get capped, that doesnt change, it just means that you can do those games in one or two weeks instead of doing 10 every week for months. Nothing is given for free - the same conquest/honours still has to be earned, the only thing being weakened is the artificial gating.


Secondly, it was how it was on live, which alone is a reason to implement it. It also is universally well liked and as many other have said already - if you are a good player gear shouldnt matter. That you had to spend months on your gear is sad and you should have made a report asking them to change it back then.

Thirdly, pvp gear hasnt been the reward of pvping since woltk, pvp items are vastly inferior to pve ones in pretty much everything bar instanced pvp - its not like wrath where the endgame pvp set was almost as good as the raid gear and without it you had no chance in world pvp. Pvp gear is something you grind before you actually start to seriously pvp - i.e start doing 3s.


There was a good reason this system was implemented and buffed throughout wow from then on, till today where gear is totally irrelevant in pvp in legion (bar artifact traits, but those are a different topic), there still is enough to do to get good in pvp - actually learning the game, getting the gold to enchant, gem and reforge and also max out two professions.

(if you for some reason thought that the conquest catchup means dinging 90 and then having 20k+ conquest points - it doesnt, it means those players are able to earn that much points, they still start with 0).

Would be nice if we could get some actual staff response to this, just saying.

This isn't the official warcraft game, so you won't get the luxury of such. Nor will it ever happen, unless they decide to do such, which is highly unlikely.

There are.... far worse things than that. All it takes is multiple targets and a guid that shows you the player/mob/object and or group's hp and presence and a single click lol.

There are some dire/game breaking things not even warmane nor blizzard can comprehend in the world of exploits.

Also stacking is so level 1 noobish tho.

Its a blizzlike server though, and the feature was in the game back then. Theres stuff in the game which is stupid but which stays even though the community wants it to go away (free action potion in wrath as an example) because it was in the game back then and thus it stays. The same should be true here - especially here. The server is pretty bad if you exclude the pvp side of things, and that is made much worse due to not being able to actually get gear for pvp in the way it was intended.

Sorry for bumping an old thread, but this is a really big reason as to why the server is losing players. It's bleeding people to other MoP servers that have this functionality and are more new-player welcoming because of it.

It takes about 2-3 months to fully gear a new character, and no one has patience to do that. A lot more people would play on FW if this was just implemented, making the PvP scene way more active.

I support the conquest catchup, but Frostwolf has the best pvp scene of any private server. The only other English-speaking server I'm aware of that has even a somewhat active pvp scene recently announced they will be opening a Legion server, which will leave their MoP server a ghost town.

So there's not really an argument for any other server for MoP pvp- it would be disengenuous to argue otherwise.

I really don't wanna mention other server names, but this is not true, especially in terms of 3v3.

Idk if they can or cant fix this bug. But it doesnt matter because this wont ever be implemented anyway. who is gonna donate for pvp gear if you can farm full pvp in few days.. Blizzlike only matters when it doesnt cost warmane money. just as blizzlike to most people on this realm is important untill CM gets bugged and gives handouts.. "please dont take away the candy".. excited to see what 2017 brings to FW.
