the two threads dont "CONTRAST" at all in fact the other thread suggests putting them on roof tops instead of the complete nerf and removal. Also in storm peaks there was a route of snowmen (completely out of players harm) that were farmable meaning not everyone has to go to wintergrasp. This is a event that pops up once a year, stays here for a week or so and then its gone. If you dont want to play it then dont. Simple as that.

Cow & Snowmans are not supposted to make your gearing easier, its something you can play in your free time for fun.

Except for the fact that a few players got hundreds of emblems and some of us got zero, that makes literally no sense at all. If you can name me one 'fun' thing about this event, I will be unbelievably shocked. The cow event cannot even be done.

explain how its fun trying to fight 23mil cow with 5 people

the worst thing in my opinion is that people who works with gmt work time got home (like me) at 18.00 pm, just to farm for like half an hour emblems before the server was put down and event turned off

people farmed like 500 emblems in one afternoon, and when came night time, when more people can login, you turn off event removing the FAIR CHANCE for everyone to farm those

so, 13yo kiddos got emblems for a lifetime, and pps with a work or studying during the day got ****ED up roughly

Smarmy? How about instead of trying to focus on a reason to attack a staff member over it, you try and read the thread I linked past the first post. Hm?
I would link even more posts and threads filled with complaints about how the many emblems dropping was such a huge problem, but I couldn't do that as they were so riddled with disrespect towards the staff and the server that they had to be deleted. Much like your comment here, ya?

I'm pretty sure the decision was made because the staff in charge of the events agreed with the feedback they were getting. As an Icecrown player myself, I know that I wasn't particularly fond of the realm being flooded with primos. Though I did enjoy and appreciate gearing up alt characters that I could play around with at a later time. Either way, it's not my call, but Proterean has been doing a pretty good job at keeping an eye on the feedback. So, perhaps it'll be changed? Probably not, because that'd make us look indecisive, among other things. So, more than likely if there's to be any change, it will be next year.

Despite this disrespect their voices were still heard. I believe that if there would have been more time given to make this decision that many more players would have been against the nerf. If the event were even left the way it was for a day, that would have been fair. But there is an imbalance because some players jumped on the event and then decided 'I don't like this', whereas some of us never got that chance (I live in North America, and for the few hours it was up I was busy with IRL or asleep because of the time zones) or a rebuke against this nerf. The ruin of the economy argument is complete nonsense and there are already precautions against ruining the economy, such as the incoming gold fix. So all in all listening to one side of this debate ruined it for all us players who were going to be perfectly happy using these events to gear characters, etc.

We know you guys have done a lot for the community over the past few months, but it would have really been nice to try these events, even for a few hours like some people already did.

It does not make the staff look indecisive, it makes the staff look like they listen to multiple viewpoints on issues.

Well, if you're only going to change something next year, might as well remove the event, because as it is, it's undoable..
I know you might have worked hard to provide us with this, but as it is, there's no point in keeping this up, honestly.

I don't know how do people feel, but I was very excited about it! Gearing up alts with little effort, after having already lost everything we had, it seemed pretty good to me... I work, I don't have 15 hours a day, or even a week sometimes to play and gear up alts that I love playing as well.
And when I come home to know that some people got hundreds of emblems, while I was working, and now I can't get even half of it... I mean, it's disapointing to say the least...
Really dragged down about this, and I know we're a majority.

Well, in my oppiion the main problem of the events were not the huge ammount of frosts the ppl could get. The main problem was the lag it created.

There should be some sort of reward for doing events that are not available whole year, as they are now noone is doing cows except checking the drop rates.
I honestly think the cow king is impossible even with a 40 man raid, and i think it was designed that way. In the end i loved the feel of 40 man raids that gave me a nostalgic feeling about vanila.

The snowmans are decent as they are now only for the fact that you can kill them instantly with a 40 man group, but as far as the cows go only 1 nerf was needed like 100% drop chance 5 man or this drop chance and 40 man, I think 40 man is not possible even if i like it a lot because of the performance issues.
But leaving the event as they are now is a bad ideea in my mind.

Regarding not wanting to change it again because it would make staff look bad. I think its a bad move because this is obviously not the right path for the cows at least, this is not aimed at alts since the huge difficulty(not even including boss) and would only give you some primos, which i think is useless.

As they are now, the events serve no purpuse, they are there for the sake of being there.
I can understand lowering the rewards because server cant handle the stress so noone does them any more, but not with the useless excuse of more primos=bad,
I can argue that previous events had waaaay bigger effect on economy and gearing than this.

Conclusion: please change it, I want something funny to do with my guild without me having to forrce them to raid some old raid.( for me 40 man raid with guild was amazing)

Appreciation to the staff who works even as Christmas is approaching.
However, those very low number of players getting insane amount of EoF then "complaining" to make the majority get nothing not even some gear...while themselves can gear up an alt or buy primos with those extra EoF, kinda seems illogical.

I can't believe how much i got pissed about that.This year all the changes got on my nerves.I am from the low species(Icecrown),so I don't really know what is going on Lordaeron ,but this was my worst year in this server.Rates from 12 and 20 are now 3 except for exp which is 7,gold squish isn't that bad compared to the others,just annoying and now this.I have been waiting a year to play cows again because I couldn't recover my old acc and I was exited to finally be able to gear my alts( As a lot of other people i don't have all day to play).

People were salty about the easy gear.Well,we all do raids,rdfs,rep farms,etc. just to take gear.I don't think that we are different in those terms. Of course there are always people who will hate something but why do they take the upper hand here? The whole situation was 50/50 in terms of negativity and positivity
and all the decisions were taken too fast in my opinion.

I appreciate everything you do from bug fixes to new events but why we had to ruin something that we get for 1-2 weeks and we have to wait for it again 1 more year? It was going to be more logical to continue something how it began and change it for the next time,not the opposite.I can get past that but what is the proof that the same thing won't happen next year?
