You remember wrongly. I said nothing of the sort. I just said that there are other events being hosted by Community Managers with exclusive rewards and there will be New Year Gifts from Warmane. I can provide you a screenshot of all my posts, if you're so inclined to check.

We hosted more than 40 events so far with exclusive rewards that are not even offered on the shop or anywhere else and had more than 5,000 different people participate. We gave out multiple rewards, some being worth in excess of 100 coins in those events.

The algorithm for giving out gifts is based on last year's one and it's actually pretty similar to 2014 just with the addition of random items.

We are still the only private server to do such events and the only private server to do any sort of giveaway with premium currency. But every year, we get discouraged, every year we lose the will to do these things. So much that last year we made a thread in which we announced stopping of any holiday events or gifts of any sort for good but we just never posted it. We love our community, we are a part of it, but getting constantly ridiculed for being generous and giving away gifts is something we are frankly getting tired of, even when we made it way more generous this year than last year.

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

People tend to forget what a gift is.

People got their expectations way too high listening to non-staff promises, people clamining they've gotten 100 coins some year and now everyone expected mountains of coins, even the ones that never donated a cent. The higher you fly, the harder you fall. Expect nothing and you won't be disappointed.
Also do the damn math, if you got 3 coins and 40% discount, it gets to over 10 free coins in the end for most items. (23c - 40% =14 coins, so thats 12 free coins, and together with bonus coins from donations you can get a bis item on icecrown for 10€ (11c), where people would regularly need to donate 30). Now unless you're nearly bis and got a good guild, bis items aren't easy to come by. Now please for the love of god, stop crying over something you thought you would get, even though no one officially stated you would.

I think the best gift for everyone would have been to return the point shop as it was before + mounts. I don't know what others think about that but for me personally that was going to be the best gift ever.

He can copy-paste that code because it's Account Bound. Nobody except him can use that code.

I got more than 30 coins in gifts divided in my accounts . If thats not considered a gift I dont know what is . Its way more than last years . Proterean you got a point there but you should also know that 1 random guy(or mby thousands) *****ing about gifts doesnt represent the whole community and us left who respect whats given to us . I hope you dont get discouraged by such behaviours and continue further your gift/event/community efforts!
