For people who would still encounter this problem:

The correction is very simple. Just take the file "patch-enUS-w.MPQ" present in the directory / Data / enUS / and rename it to "patch-frFR-w.MPQ" and drop it in the directory / Data / frFR / of your game.

The handling is the same for "patch-frFR-x.MPQ".
I have not tested but I think you can do the same manipulation with the file "patch-w.MPQ" instead of the file "patch-enUS-w.MPQ"

PS: I tested the game in French with the FR patch present on the site: https://www.petit-fichier.fr/2017/05/12/data-zip/

The patch works relatively well, however I noticed a translation problem with the dialogs displayed during the rendering of a completed quest. You also encountered this problem (In this case is it correctable)?

Hello guys, today's update.

It looks like even people with single Addon (mentioned: Healbot) got banned).

As Urshalana said "Hack addons" can get you flagged, is Healbot one of them, idk maybe someone can give us more information about this addon, but i think since most of the healer use it this not couse the problem.

I found interesting that maybe something in the GAME FOLDER >> MIGHT << get you banned, but what since most of us downloading it from the site, does it mean we are autamaticly downloading a game which can cause us ban? What do you think?

So the problems we found from yesterday(22.03.2020y.) to today (23.03.2020y.). are:

1) "Hack addons." what ever they are.

2) In-folder error, which might be some file and i might get banned for this.

3) Even inactive ppl got banned(which is not new actually).

4) That their anti-cheating systems maybe have issues.

So about 4th one i think they were trying to fix and make their anticheat system better but thay made a mistake somewhere and now the system is out of control. That's what i think atm mostly. Let me know your opinion about all this things, we are getting closer. We understand that

1) Reinstalling the game and playing with just a few general/simple/basic addons will help you not to got banned atm.

but if someone get banned without using addons(we dont have that comment yet) then it must be file in the folder which cause the issue. I hope i covered most of the comments and i hope i helped someone to prevend we will CONTINUE UPLOADING IN THIS TOPIC. I'm playing without addons now and everytime im in game i just start recording, so i will record everytime i play wow, and see whats going on getting some proof. but, mainly im getting banned when im in the raid soooo, i will see about that

Addons without client modification cannot execute protected functions in the game. So if you want to know if an addon will get you banned, in most cases it's super simple, just ask yourself if the client had to be modified or if the addon enables some sort of bot behavior. The game will not allow addons to move your character or interact with the world without some kind of hardware input (keyboard/mouse/etc). Also if an addon calls these protected functions without a modified client you're going to see lua errors about it and they simply won't execute.

This isn't a comprehensive list of things to check for but it should cover the vast majority of addons. I personally use Grid, Bartender, Skada, Shadowed Unit Frames and several others. These addons simply provide an alternative layout of information and still require hardware action to send input.

Also please note that modifications in this context are not a reference to models.

Think its also worth adding if it requires running an external program for an add-on to function then its likely to get you banned as well.

I honestly do not understand if it is so difficult to tell us what to delete to avoid this issue. You banned thousands of people TWICE, and yet you believe that you are right. Thats just stupid. I literally posted footage of ban that happened to me while streaming. Then came with another account and suddently it is all fine? Nothing detected by warden.

I like how they throw that "This account was found to be quite clearly utilizing illegal scripts, unlockers or third-party cheating software in the past month." excuse in ban appeals. Are you guys kidding us? We were banned for past month, logged for 10 minutes after that ban ended and got ourselves banned again. How can you collect evidence over the month I was not even being able to log?

If they're doing ban waves, as you mentioned, its likely that the offence was in the past. When you weren't streaming. Very common amongst many games to "flag" an account or log an account for a mass ban later. Reduces what the player can determine as "Oh dang, if i do x, i get banned" and then create a work around for it.

In the past like what? 2012? Are you playing stupid aswell? I was banned for the past month for the same stuff. Played 10 minutes after unban and got banned while streaming, again.

I get errors from many addons I use (namely the ones that were posted by someone on the forums that are backported AH addons) could those by why I am flagged? I'm genuinely trying to help figure it out and would be willing to upload my entire addons folder for analysis so that, if there is false flags we can prevent them in the future.

The backported addons in question were posted by Blue on the Warmane staff.

Not here to argue, just pointing out the obvious from an administration and programming perspective. Personally have had to deal with something similar in the past. As far as a specific time span, I certainly couldn't tell you.

I'm currently running one of Blue's backported addons without issues. The errors shouldn't cause any issues, they just mean the client couldn't execute it. I'm assuming every error you've gotten is associated with a nil value or some unexpected arg type. Even if you wrote an addon calling every single protected function and ran it you would get errors but none of it would run. It's when your client is modified to allow those functions to be called from anywhere that catches a ban.

First of all, thank you for trying to clear up things for us. Raising awareness could protect many in the future.
The problem is I am unsure what client modification actually means, includes or excludes which is why it is not that simple to us mortals. Let's say cosmetic addons who allow you to change how your UI character portrait, target or even pet frame looks like which is a lot different from default UI that you said you use yourself or for example addon auctionator allows you to buy/post multiple items at once that you would without this addon have to manually click one by one. Why exactly first case doesn't assume client modification and could second one be considered botting behavior? If lua errors are red flags AFTER installation of such addons are there any that we should care for before actually trying to use them?
What makes these http://forum.warmane.com/showthread.php?t=413940 legal then? Aren't those modifications you are referring to?
Could we rely on http://forum.warmane.com/showthread.php?t=51521 sticky addons to be safe at least?
