I know that feel man. Same thing with picks. I always have at least one with me, and when I lose them all... My mother recently did "mom style" whole house cleaning, including my room. She found 6 picks.... =/

As for headbands, a lot of people, women mostly, wear them as bracelets so they have some when they lose them. Maybe it looks stupid but it's useful. Plus it's already on your hand so you put it faster.

You should be aware that picks are actually sentient beings bound to another dimension. When you "lose" one, the being is actually called by their home dimension.

That's why you NEVER EVER find a "lost" pick.

I have three interdimensional beings in my pocket right now, my mother is dimension traveler, and very rarely I show the same traits, probably inherited nerfed version of that ability genetically. You illuminated me...

It was right after Tyrion gave Robb the plans for Bran's special saddle I think. I'd have to go back and check to be sure but it's right around there.
