Can someone confirm or explain why it seems like SoV/SoR have a higher "procrate" for effects like the 2pcT10 bonus, TAIAJ and SMourne than SoComm?
It seems like SoComm seal damage isn't even considered a "hit" for all of these effects, whereas SoR and SoV are. Is this an intended inconsistency? As the wording on the spells is very similar.
I'm not entirely sure if that's true for SoR, but I suppose it's possible. For SoV, though, you have the dot application *and* the melee damage proc that can cause procs.
Yeah, can confirm after a lot of testing - Mote of Anger procs ~50% less with SoComm than SoR and SoV. Same is true for stuff like Soul Fragments and procs from the T10 2pc bonus.
After a lot of testing - Mote of Anger procs on average ~20 times over a 2min period with SoR with normal DPS rotation. With SoComm procs ~10 times.
Not sure if that's intended behaviour - I don't recall it working that way on retail Wotlk, but maybe someone can debunk it. Certainly inconsistent either way.
isn't it simple ?
get over 50% crit unbuffed
stack some haste attack fast collect SOV stacks fast more DS procs more Mote's of anger.
Proffit ?
STR is only 15% so ehh
Any good macros for this ?
Hi,
Didn't want to start a new topic and the guide is quite extensive. But can you clarify a question please;
As a Belf what is best PvP trinket? I cant understand why Deaths Choice is rated high? isn't STS a better trinket? even not considering the Arp?
288AP and 510Str / Agi for 15seconds vs 184Arp and a massive 1472 Attack power.
Warcraft Tavern states, 1Str = 2.53 so Deaths Choice is giving 1290 + 288 for a total of 1578 Attack power. I'm unsure of how effective 184 Arp is for Retri. but without it that means there is a 106 attack power difference in favour of deaths choice.
Yet STS is still considered BiS for PvE. so im just curious the reasoning behind it.
Also WFS seems good, but with a single slot available for Belfs does it ever seem better than the other 2 above?
In PvE, it's all about stacking stats during your wings window. In PvP, usually you're going to get controlled or kited or dispelled when your wings are up. Therefore, there is more inherent value in the base stats of a trinket. STS has armor pen as a baseline stat, which is not as useful as AP, not just because of the discrepancy in functionality VS different kinds of armor types, but also because AP benefits your heals and absorbs as well.
WFS would be better if you need crit. Especially if you're healing a lot.
Hello Guys,
Can anyone suggest to me what is the best BIS list for Ret Paladin as of 2026. I am currently on the way of building a good gear. I hope you can help me and thank you.
Thank you arcsperia
How about this I am just curios, My Expertise is capped at 26 when using Seal of Vengeance because of my Glyph. Now when I use Seal of Command my Expertise dropped to 17, does this matter and affect my dps during battle?. Thank you in advance for those who can reply. I am planning to change my gems.
isnt seal of command better dps overall with its aoe?
Generally speaking, yes.
It's worth considering whether the additional targets matter, too, vs how quickly you want to push dps on the boss. Lich King, as an example, generally you want to phase him asap in p1, so it's better to let people cleave who won't be losing ST dps like warriors.
