Getting raid spots in TBC as a PvP player on an already established server is the worst experience in WoW; It's not even about the time investment, the game balance just doesn't allow very diverse raid comps.
Blackrock's crossrealm was never a popular or a good thing btw, literally made frostmourne pvp so hard to get into and unfun.
in TBC it will be even worse, regular players have to fight for spots and get into guilds that clear PvE content, which the track record of frostmournes and onyxia show a pattern of sometimes overtuning the content. for those same PvE items players in blackrock don't have to go through that headache and enjoyment will be less. just pure suffering if you intend to release them crossrealm. Make Blackrock seperated TBC Realm for players who are only interested in PvP. thank you very much.
In July, almost 3 months after the addition of Blackrock to Frostmourne the top 50arena teams consisted of 23 Frostmourne teams and 27 Blackrock teams. Sadly I was not able to go back further in time to compare the arena ladders however this seemed like a fair balance.Quote:

After experiencing TBC arena on the last big private servers recently I am just going to make a prediction: the top ladder spots on both servers will be taken by the same players as usual anyway, by boosting (which should be against the server rules, or only publically advertising it is?) or account sharing on Onyxia and playing their own accounts on Blackrock. Personally I believe handing out separate end of season rewards makes sense though it will not have a big impact unless there will be a way to ensure no out of line account sharing action happens.
Hard to argue anymore as anything from Onyxia players is getting deleted. Nice that you appreciate your community.

Just so people know what is really going on.
Some things that came to my mind to potentially help out casuals and average players on Onyxia while keeping the Blackrock grind more time consuming would be the following:
- Remove all rating requirements from gear on Onyxia, or keep it on limited items only with a big impact for Pve (weapons probably)
- Lower the cost of BG gear on Onyxia
- Lower the cost of arena points gear on Onyxia, or increase the arena points gained compared to Blackrock
- Make S1 gloves available for honor instead of arena points, also comes down to essentially speeding up the progression or making it less time consuming
- Add the blue pvp reputation set for Onyxia only, the one introduced in patch 2.4 initially to allow their Pve progression to enable them in Pvp as well
This would make getting into Pvp from Onyxia point of view a bit easier in addition to the Pve grinding. Also alts would benefit from this. Curious to hear opinions on this.
I am not playing here since start but only for couple of months. But I still consider myself part of Onyxia and PvP player. And I agree with the Onyxia majority here that this merge is not good for Onyxia. But I will go with whatever decision Warmane comes up with.
However after reading most of the pages here seeing how all Onyxia people are against this merge and then 90% of replies of the "merge lovers" are from the same person and 1-2 others it is really concerning and proves the point.
Anyway peace and TBC hype!
There will be a lot of "I told you so's" once the arena season starts and majority of the players are from Blackrock. It's obvious Onyxia doesn't have a strong pvp community.

Knowing Blackrock will exist why not try to give feedback for possible issues coming up or how some Pvp changes could look like? How should gearing prices look like, which pieces should be added early, which at a later point in time, should gear be delayed in a similar fashion as items in the shop, how should the honor rate look like and so on?Quote:

Side note, the more people in the PvP scene I tell about this, the more people are coming in excited to play TBC again. A lot of the scene outside of the TBC-only private server PvPer's don't know this TR change is happening yet, surprisingly. Every time I reach out to someone new to ask if they're playing, I get the same "Can't wait to get back to the BiS arena experience. I hope they announce the release date soon" response. It's dope.
I don't have hopes for this crossrealm pvp change to not: 1) be horribly imbalanced from the first day and 2) warmane to not implement any changes, nerfs, or buffs seeing as they allowed the current pvp system with AV bridge farm hack to exist since last November.

Playing in onyxia while doing pvp is an advantage since u can get pvp gear before (at least 1 week before) as devs stated, and also can get pve gear for free without arena point requeriment.
Its up to you if u join blackrock to skip pve or not, if u pvp from onyxia side ur more or less tryhardint trying to get an unfair advantage using raiding as a tool, tool that is not avaliable for blackrock chars.

There is no unfair when every body can do it.
You can have ur regular char (Main) tryharding doing pvp/pve on oni and make a alt same class (or not) and have a real chance to play it.
Not everyone has 10 hours a week to pve and then 5 more to pvp. Thats why pvp in tbc is usually dead in the end ultra anti alter friendly.
But ofc ppl complaining, some guildmaster rogues who prolly suck in pvp and already reserved illidan legendaries for themselves and wanted to abuse it etc.
