Be serious, do you even talk to her? I don't mean just small talk, does she know anything about you beyond your name.

If so, just ask her out and don't make such a big deal out of it. "Hey I don't mean to just spring this on you but do you want to go out sometime?", or something. Just keep it nice and simple. If she says no then it's a no and you can start getting over her.

This. I recently learned this, and actually started to believe it. (I also took action)

Get to know her a bit, and then just ask her. If she says yes, great, if not, that's fine too. No point wasting your life trying to decide whether some girl likes you back. It DONT MATTA.

Don't listen to Ballzack. You should give her a homemade lunch and say something like "I-I-I-It's not like I'm giving you this because I like you or anything, dummy!" and run off crying. If you carry out the plan successfully, you'll be rejected, and may be institutionalized depending on the situation.
