Joke's on you. You've posted no evidence of recent combat rogue damage being low on Warmane. I'd suggest you stay away from the ad hominem in the discussion though. I'd hate to have to revoke your posting privileges.

However, checking the forums here I see discussion and screenshots of ridiculously inflated damage of 24-30k by nontraditional classes. I've asked several high-end players (gear-wise at least) and what they claim is in agreement to the Warmane forums. I used to play on other EU Blizzlike Wrath servers, and the top DPS would be a 6.7k GearScore Retribution Paladin or Fury Warrior dealing around 15-16k DPS (Ret) and 15-17k (Fury) on Saurfang 25 HC (no icc buff). Are you telling me that players here are nearly twice as good as all of the top guilds on other private servers and all of the original Blizzard retail Wrath servers?

Typically private servers will have something broken in the talent tree that should lower a class' DPS, but here it's not the case. Can someone provide an explaination/prove me wrong/agree the dps here isn't Blizzlike? Those are the only three possibilities. I came here with a bunch of buddies (and family) and we're eager to start progressing from scratch, but its off-putting content will be breezed through due to unusually high DPS. The only thing I can think of is that the "broken" talents soup up class' DPS here instead of reduce.

This is not 100% true, many people were able to maintain 20 - 25k+ dps on WotLK during the 3.3.5 patch once fully heroic geared. It's the matter of knowing how to play your class and what to gem enchant stat wise to maintain high numbers. I had a Blood Death Knight that was 100% Armor Pen and could maintain 23 - 25k dps on many fights that did not require much movement then it would dip down to around 18 - 20k.

But seeing that you were playing on an EU server is probably the answer to all of your questions. All the hype on being good, not enough backup to prove it. Kind of like being host on Halo 2, even that can make a mediocre player look decent.

I never said that rogue damage is low.
I said that its not right, they should be doing MORE.
I also mentioned that rogue DPS is not "good", but everyone has their own opinion about what is "good" dps, and rogue's DPS isn't good enough for me, for some of you it might be "alright" or "good", back in the day when I started WotLK I thought that 10k dps was good, guess what? I don't feel like that anymore.

Exposing opinions shouldn't be a crime.

Opinions are fine, of course, but don't try to insult me for mine. Also, I wasn't expressing too much of an opinion either. I was acknowledging that there are some problems, but I was also pointing out your fallacious arguments and examples. It's not important that you agree with me, but it is important that if you're going to take part in an argument or discussion that you avoid logical fallacies, because they aren't proper arguments. If you find that offensive, then you have bigger problems than worrying about someone disagreeing with you.

Hmm. Everyone has diff experience I guess but on retail wotlk I had full BiS boomkin and rarely seen anyone come close to my dps. Raids I would have to stop hitting and pick my nose for awhile if tank was not good holding threat.

His main point, or at least what I'm understanding to be his main point, is that rogues on Warmane are a damn sight below where they were on retail in terms of how they rank in DPS. In this, he's definitely not wrong.

Of course, any skilled player can play a rogue and still pull respectable numbers, but this is missing the point.

Of course, any skilled player can play a rogue and still pull respectable numbers, but this is missing the point.

Maybe for Assassination, but it's definitely not the case for Combat, especially with the fix that is about to go live.
Also, I wasn't referencing just Rogues. This thread is not about just Rogues.

Well, after careful consideration I have decided that Rogue DPS is the least of our problems. Retribution Paladins are actually lacking big time (see the image below). Since 2012 they have been massively nerfed, and I for one, demand a buff.

I'm kind of curious how they only get 1 FM phase. They get 2 shamblings and 2 valk waves yet they only get the first FM phase and then kill it. I have never seen such a thing been done here before.
