Hey guys, im INCREDIBLY sorry for leaving you hanging today!
We got held up at practice due to the snow and my phone died so I wasn't even able to post on forums. :(
From now on ill post 1 hour or at least 30 minutes before an event to let you know were still having it.
All excuses aside, new cap is 35 for next Sunday. I WILL be online and I will try to be online through out the week.

Sorry to hear you got so held up!!! Luckily, we are quite crafty and good at entertaining ourselves in your absence. Exhibit A: The new thread on the forums! Exhibit B: The alts some of us started making to RP during the weekday downtime!
However, the hiatus for the group RP raises a concern... The OOC inactivity definitely has an IC impact. Gannar is waiting in Silvermoon to meet with Sylvannar, Selvarria is going stir crazy in Tarren Mill, Lysarra and Trist'in have been traveling together for a week and I have no idea if one of them has killed the other... A lot can happen in a week of IC time. So much that some of us have no idea how to proceed with regular activity until we're able to fill in this gap!
There are a couple ways this can be solved. OOC agreements are the easiest and fastest fix, casually sorting out what might have happened and what it might mean for the future. Then there's backtracking and actually RPing through what was missed - easier for me and Trist, since it's just the two of us for the moment, but possibly harder once you start needing to juggle multiple schedules and playtimes. Which brings me to the next solution: Forum RP! Things can be taken slower, given more detail, and it's less reliant on free time because you can post a reply any time and your partner will be able to read it as soon as they're free! Of course, it also takes longer... Then there's always the idea that we could just time-crunch and say only a few days have passed IC, even though it's been over a week OOC. Although, nothings stopping us for utilizing any combination of these methods for problem solving!
But yeah, basically, the worst part of the hiatus is the IC limbo we've all sorts been stuck in, and any way to clear up the gaps would probably benefit everyone! Especially since no one wants OOC issues to factor info IC drama. That goes double for this group. We already got so much IC drama. Just this once, let my children rest.
EDIT: Also, Sylv, the cap for this week was 35. You said "new cap" though so idk if you meant to change it and just forgot xD

The forum rp 'in the ashes of Silvermoon' rp started by symphonia gave me a good idea.
I think when we form a guild, in order to allow someone to join we should have the new players rp in a section of burned down tents or some ruins in ghostlands to establish character beginnings.
Yes, it's completely racist but the way things are going I'm leaning towards the entire guild being elves with some exceptions of undead. It wouldn't be to hard to assume some of the undead raised were elves or were somehow free from the lich kings control when he departed from silvermoon. The way I understand forsaken lore, before sylvannas, undead who were free of mind were lost souls dealing with a crisis of identity and nightmarish memories.
We could rp this type of thing between gaps of time when we're not all online - if 2 or 3 people want to rp together they could meet 'back in time' and rp as how their characters were back then. Simple things like keeping look outs, going into dangerous territory for food and supplies, really easy to do and when we're all together for events we could do modern dat time rp. Essentially were a group of elves that survived and through either fates, luck or whatever- we've found each other again to go forth together.
This also allows us the option of g-chat rp while questing to meet level cap.
Let me know what u think and any ideas.
I'm open to suggestions.

It's an interesting idea... But, unfortunately, I am here to ruin it by being ★°•culturally diverse•°★
Selv and I actually made goblin alts we were interested in RPing with the main group on, and I know Suzina made a troll alt when she noticed there were some of us that weren't sticking strictly to elf characters. So, obviously, it'd be a little difficult for those characters to suddenly place themselves in Silvermoon during the crisis (though Suzina had an interesting idea to put her troll there actually).
I guess I wouldn't really be affected by the change one way or another, but. Idk. I feel like sharing a past with the rest of the characters isn't really all that much of a necessity as a prerequisite for RP. It's an awesome OPTION for sure, especially for people who want to have a starting point or basis to work off of when they're just joining in, but. If it were me, I'd kinda be turned off by the fact that I have to base my back story around other characters - even if I like the characters, and even if I like the story they have. Not totally sure how to explain it, but there's a huge difference between being given the option to do this cool thing with other people, and sorta being restricted to doing this cool thing with other people. For Kalimdor-based characters, there's also the fact that as we level up and move around the world, they won't need to share a starting continent with us to meet us on the road, so. Yeah. Idk. Interesting concept, good option, but I'm not sure about using it as some kinda strict entrance policy. Then again, I'm just naturally a super flighty person. Not only that, but a lot of Lys's development as a person relies on her NOT having much connection with other people, so outside of the Ashes thread, there's not a lot I'd be able to participate in if we're looking into the past xD (althoooooough, I HAVE been considering making an alt soon that would be a lot easier to stick into things like that so, shrug!!!!!)
Also, I have the perfect guild name for us: The Pantalones Partysquad. I'm pretty sure pants are so intrinsically tied to our stories that we may as well name the guild after them. Other contenders: "Rest in Pants" or "Requiescat in Pantalones" if we're feeling fancy.
(All of that was a joke.)
