Blood, Frost, Unholy. Gnimo's way of how to DK.

Well the only reason for that is cos i love having KM up all the time. It does overproc sometimes but on 4/5 sometimes i dont get enough if i get lucky with Rime proccing free Howling Blasts and stuff. Only reason for 5/5 is so u are almost always ready to pop that Howling Blast with KM and have insane AoE burst.
Im testing some minor changes atm, but since its holyday season we are not raiding that much, but i do know that if u put 1 less point in Black Ice u lose 20k dmg per 1milion frost/shadow dmg done. I personaly love 5/5 KM but going 4/5 is fine, it wont make any huge diference.
Again, Il most likely post a separate guide on each spec and fix some mistakes i made in this post soon... January 3rd or 4th. Will see how my free time lets me.

Posible Frost Tanking build. Its awesome for multiple target tanking since u can turn ur Blood Runes in Death Runes and spam Icy Touches.
Also with that Sigil u are Beast when it comes to generating Threat.

U can get it by doin 3 daily quests in Grizly Hills as said before... U need 3 days for that.

FDK DPS Guide

Stats:

Hit:
8% melee hit is the cap u want. Spell cap is 17%, dont bother.
165hit rating (5%) + Nerves of Cold Steel (3%) = 8% hit which is cap for special abilities.
Again, there is no need to go for more, it wont help.

Expertise:
26 expertise Caps DODGE.
56 expertise Caps PARRY. Dont bother...
*At the moment this stat is bugged, i think the actual cap is at 28 or maybe even 29.
Get 26 anyway, if u get dodged at any point, atleast u know why its happening.

*Armor Penetration:
DO NOT GO for this stat unless u can get 99%+ with gear and gems alone. If u cant get that, just gem Strength...
U need 1386-1400arp. The closer u get to 1386 the better. Dont go over 1400.

*Crit:
Ur abilities do 248% of ur normal DMG. This stat is more valuable than Strength untill u reach 65-70% crit chance on Obliterate with all talents and buffs.
That is somewhere arround 32-36% crit without any buffs...
U ussualy need only 1-2 Agy items (wrist and/or ring) or couple of extra 10str10crit gems in order to reach this, depending on how high u want to go.

Strength:
After u get arp cap and solid crit %, get this stat as much as u can.

Haste:
I personaly go for arround 91 Haste rating if u can and thats about it...
*Shoutout to Rifokelt for making me realise haste is not a ****stat after all.
(Havoc main hand, Cloak enchant, 2x 10str10haste gems)
As a stat, haste only decreases the speed of ur auto attacks making them him more often. It wont reduce ur GCD (spells only; IT, Pesti, DC, HB) since u cant get more than 200haste (that haste also wont reduce GCD on spells by any significant amount) without sacrificing other stats, reducing ur overall dps in the process...

If u decide to go Double Havoc, u need Ashen ring in order to cap hit. U lose **** ton of Armor Penetration (Strength) if u do so, so i wouldnt recomend it...

U can use those items depending on which stat u want more, crit, strength, or w/e...

Profesions:

JC - 3x 34armor penetration/strength gems
BS - 2 extra gem sockets
Total of passive 82 bonus armor penetration/strength

Other profesions are not worth mentioning from my point of view. These are simply THE BEST on a FDK since he is almost capping armor penetration so any help when it comes to that is usefull.

Engineering - is the only one that can come in handy mainly cos of Rocket Boots activation. If u do go engi u will need to lose 2x 10str10haste gems and make them 10str10hit in order to cap hit.

Rotation:

Opener:
IT > PS > BT > UA > Pesti > Obli > FS* > ERW
Obli > Obli > Obli > FS > FS > FS > step1

Opener without ERW:
IT > PS > Obli > Pesti > BS > HoW > step2

Constant rotation after "Opener" (diseases on target):
step1: Obli > Obli > Pesti > BS > FS* > step2
step2: Obli > Obli > FS* > Obli > FS* > FS* > step1

FS* = Use Howling Blast if Rime procs
FS* = Use Horn of Winter if not enough Runic Power, nor u have Rime proc up, or if u have to refresh it
FS* = Skip if u dont have Horn of Winter or Runic Power or Howling Blast from Rime
FS* = Use Frost Strike ALWAYS if u have 95%+ Runic Power

*! For those that are new to FDK i would suggest this:
step2: Obli > Obli > Obli > FS* > FS* > step1,
since its easyer this way to refresh diseases with pestilence and not fk up.

If u miss Pestilence, just do:
Pesti > BS > BS > FS > IT > PS > Obli > Obli > FS* > FS* > step1

If Pestilence is resisted, just do:
Pesti > BS > FS > IT > PS > Obli > Obli > FS* > FS* > step1

Doin UA while in combat:
step2: Obli > Obli > FS > UA > BT > Obli > FS > FS > step1
step2: Obli > Obli > FS > Obli > BT > UA > FS > FS > step1
step1: Obli > Obli > BT > UA > Pesti > FS > FS > step2

AoE Rotation:
Just prio using Howling Blast instead of Obliterate when off CD, after that keep spamming the normal rotation and whenever Obliterate gives u free Howling Blast use it instead of FS.
Try not to use Killing Machine for anything else exept Howling Blast, especialy if HB is getting off CD in 2sec. If the CD oh Howling Blast is more than 4sec for example and u used all ur runes, feel free to spam FSs using KM procs.

UDK DPS Guide

Stats:

Hit:
9% melee hit is the cap u want. With that u cap both ur Ghoul Hit and Expertise and also Spell Hit cap which is important for Unholy DK.
U need arround 296 hit rating for that.
*I think that Ghoul Expertise is a bit buggy so just make sure u get 11% Spell Hit with gear only and u are fine. Dont get less than that.

Expertise:
26 expertise Caps DODGE.
56 expertise Caps PARRY. Dont bother...
*At the moment this stat is bugged, i think the actual cap is at 28 or maybe even 29.
As unholy DK u shouldnt need to cap expertise at all, and u should be fine with 5 expertise from talents alone. If u notice that u are getting dodged a lot, u can go for 12 expertise rating.
*I didnt test if 12 expertise makes any diference compared to 5 expertise when it comes to how often are u getting dodged. If its the same in the end, 5 expertise build will result in more DPS since u can get some other stat instead of that. If u want, try out both builds and see for urself.

Strength:
Get it as much as u can. It buffs everything.

Armor Penetration:
Considering that Melee and Scourge Strike are main source of ur DMG, getting 50%+ armor penetration would be a smart thing to do.

Crit:
Ur abilities do 200-230% of ur normal DMG. On top of that, the more crit % u have, u will see more of Wandering Plague. From my point of view u want arround 49-52% Crit Chance fully raid buffed as BIS UHDK.
That is somewhere arround 40-43% crit without any buffs...

Haste:
As a stat, haste only decreases the speed of ur auto attacks making them him more often. It wont reduce ur GCD (spells only; IT, Pesti, DC, HB, DnD) by a huge amount.
Since ur Melee is top DMG done, and on top of that u buff ur pets aswell with the haste u have, haste is actualy a good stat for Unholy DK.

DC* - If u dont have runic power for this use Horn of Winter

UHDK DPS tips:
If u pull while in Unholy Presence:
Cast Army of the Dead 11-13sec before the pull.

If u pull while in Blood Presence:
Cast Death and Decay > Army of the Dead 8-9sec before the pull.
This way u will triger Rune Grace Period instantly, the moment u get in combat.
If u do this, care with ERW usage, u might be able to use a full rotation before using this.
If u use this for Unholy Presence pull u might fk something up.
If u manage to combine both and perfect them, please do link me the exact spell order so i can use it aswell.

If SS gets dodged at any point, and u have **** ton of runic power, u can simply use Death and Decay (DND) instead of SS > BS and dump that extra Runic Power on 1 extra Death Coil.

U can also use this if u have Anty Magic Shell up and incoming spell dmg in ur direction. Use that AMS carefully.

If u have to Move Away from the target u are DPSing, pop DnD instead of SS > BS again on the place where ur target stands. Care, ur target might move so place it right.

U can use BT right before BS that consumes first blood rune. This way u wont **** up ur rotation but u will get free 10 runic power. U can also use this aswell in order to refresh Bone Shield if u lose it at any point. Just instead of that Blood Strike (BS) use Bone Shield.

*When i said "before the pull" i didnt count in ninja pulls, be carefull about those cos they can fk u up.

AoE Rotation:
IT > PS > BS > Pesti > BT > DND
After that keep ur normal rotation going and cast Pestilence after IT > PS to spread diseases and DnD when its off CD.
Always keep Diseases up on all the targets u should DPS and cast DnD when off CD.

Dungeon Hero spec. With this u will have 6 Death Runes which u can use for Icy Touches. With Sigil of the Frozen Conscience u shouldnt have any aggro problems.

Here u got 2 itemisations.
The one with more Stamina should be the one u should use for Blood spec.
More stamina = more healing from Death Strikes.
The one with more Armor should be the one u should use for Frost spec.
More armor = better mititgation, and with PTS u can reach 50-51k Armor which is the armor cap (75% dmg reduction) for Boss targets (targets lvl 83) and on top of that u get more avoidance if u get below 35% HP.
As far as for stamina trinket goes, u should use eather Sindragosas or Satrinas depending on the encounter. Chose it urself.
I might make a separate comment about tanking spec, will see...

For Dungeon Hero spec i would suggest using Bloodvenom Blade in Main Hand with Stamina Gem in it and Fallen Crusader Enchant on it.
More Hit for less miss chance on IT, more DMG for Harder Hitting Rune Strike.
Fallen Crusader cos it heals u for a nice portion of HP and gives u 15% extra Strength which is basicly more aggro.

As u can see, sigils are also diferent mainly cos as frost u want to avoid taking as much dmg as u can.
When it comes to blood, u could use extra threat so u can spam more Death Strikes.
If u take any dmg, its not a problem, u have Will of the Necropolis so u can just use a Death Strike and ask for more... :D

There are couple of changes for Tank itemisations incoming with some rotations, tips and tricks aswell.
Im not sure when its gona happen, estimated time in next 5 days max...

So basicly Spell Deflection works on any spell dmg u would take in raid, Breath, Vortex, Frostbolt, anything exept DoTs...
I will be most likely make a separate comment about tanks, rotation, tips, some stuff, in 9 days or so.

Will most likely Race Change to a Dwarf for the 5 Extra Expertise when using Maces. That is the main reason why i go for 21 expertise on the Tank itemisation.

Few things i know that you may find userful:
1. To get 11.02% spell hit (8.81% melee hit) you will need 289 hit rating.
2. AoE rotation for unholy that fits well: IT - PS - Pesti - DnD - a second to fap - SS - BS - BB - SS - DCx2 (or DC + HoW if you don't use Dirge talent) and repeat.

Preffering so much obliterates is useful only for arp frost dks. I didn't read this very carefully but i think u didn't mention using AMS to get runic power for FSs. Many dks are going ARP and Sigil of Awareness but its better than strength only on pure physical fights like DBS, my opinion is that str gemmed fdk is much better when u can stack rp with AMS and use lots of frost strikes.

Well as said, u mainly want 9% melee hit so with that u cap ur Ghouls Hit and Expertise.
When it comes to AoE, its not important how u do it, aslong as u keep Diseases on every target u should DPS and spam DnD off CD.
As far as for curent state of unholy DK goes, i prefer going 26 expertise aswell (5/5 t10) since getting dodged when u are trying to apply Plague Strike 4 times in a row is rly not fun, at all...

Frost Strike DMG is crap.
If u have 0 armor penetration its still better to prio Obliterate even if u dont use Sigil of Awareness especialy when u get 2/5 T10 bonus.
Top reason why prio Obli is better is Healthy rotation, on top of Obliterate dealing more DMG than Frost Strike.
AMS should be saved as a perfect defencive CD when it comes to taking magical DMG, dont use it to spam more FSs, unless u are trying to fix the rotation and u are 100% sure u wont need it to save u.
U can use it for spamming more Frost Strikes dont get me wrong, but its a waste of DPS especialy if u are delaying Obliterates. From my point of view.
For example, I use it mainly in Ruby Sanctum 25m hc when i enter Shadow Realm as an offencive CD. This way i IT > PS > BS > Pesti > AMS > Spam FS > 3x Obli, or something like that i guess, to align my runes right.
As far as for Armor Pen VS Strength goes, armor pen will beat Strength DK in every fight, thats atleast in my Case. If u do more DPS as Strength DK than keep doing a good job i guess. :D

and btw Glyph of Dark Death and Morbidity dont stack like 15%+15%=30%. more likely total buff to DC will be 22.5% or around so there is no point of having them both, drop morbidity take Reaping/dirge ( with desecration/AMZ for utility and lolz)

Old core it was viable due to frost strike double dipping, new core is a dps loss when ur runes are OFF CD.

Frost strikes in a 25 in icc will hit around 15-18k crit(full strength build with 100% arp), Even with a Full str gem build you will lose DPS from obliterates hitting so low if you aren't arp capped.
Obliterates can hit around 25-30k crits wtihout hysteria with a full bis, 100% arp str build. It is literally double what frost strikes hit for.

Seeing as most people get around 2 Frost strikes per a runic dump, you will do around 50%(rough estimate) less damage with your runes OFF cd.

AMS can be used for sustaining dps while runes are ON cd(and not enough RP) and in some instances increase your dps as your runes are on cd and you don't have a rime proc ready. Best situations are obviously after your runes are ON cd and you are RP starved. I like to use it after bursting(using ERW) and dumping RP at the start till i get my runes back, you can normally dump 4-5+ frost strikes in that time frame.

tldr don't stack str gems if you aren't arp capped, and don't prioritize frost strikes over your runes for obliterates.

@Dike
If that is the case with Glyph of Dark Death and Morbidity and u dont care about that 7.5% dmg increase u should go for Glyph of Death and Decay instead of Glyph of Dark Death. Morbidity is OP mainly cos it reduces the CD of Death and Decay by 15sec. DnD is one of the best AoE abilities in the game, not reducing its CD is not a smart thing if u ask me. On top of that, on single target DMG, DnD will always do more DMG than SS + BS aslong as SS doesnt crit, thats without the glyph aswell.

About Reaping talent.
If u find it usefull u should go for it i guess, but i dont like it. I see Unholy Death Knight as a strong AoE DPS. Best in WOTLK tbh... U shouldnt try to make it a great single target DPS since u will never be able to beat other classes that are better for that job. Goin Reaping instead of Morbidity will criple u when u need to AoE hard. Going Reaping instead of Blood Caked Blade is questionable aswell, since i dont think 1 more SS per rotation will do more than 3% of ur total DMG... Reaping should only be taken with going Blood Subspec since thats the one thats buffing ur SS dmg the most.
