been playing here since this was molten wow. same topic over the last 7+ years.
people crying about multiboxers.
youd think they would just sticky the topic and close all other threads about it after this long.
the only place where MB is viable are 40m BGs. they are horrid in anything else (assuming around 7 or more are being boxed) since smaller BGs they cannot defend areas without leaving others widly exposed. so for example instead of having 2-3 people defending in EotS cap point you now have a MB of 7 or more. leaving 8 or less players on that team to cap the other 3 points and get the flag mid. thats too thin and if your enemy has any common sense they can just constantly outflank the MB while holding the other areas.
in something like AV however they can become problems at bottlenecks. But the real reason it becomes an issue is legit warmane players think fighting mid or honor farming is somehow more efficent in terms of honor vs capping and complete objectives. so there is that as well.
my favortie is watching the 10+ MB roll up on 3-4 players, one of them will see the MB and run away to fight another day and outflank him towards an objective which is smart and reasonable. the other 3 palyers left try to kill the 10+MB.... you legit cant fix stupid. anyone is going to lose 10+ vs 3. MB or not unless they are some kind of new player with no idea and have horrid to no gear on.
TLDR. run away from MB stop trying to solo them stop qq about it for years on end and l2p
Imagine being so ****en greedy, that the MOMENT you're handed a gift, you IMMEDIATELY ask for more? Imagine being that privileged.
This is why this change was a bad idea, cause now people believe crying and whining is the way to go, and it's only gonna get worse. Instead of being thankful, they're reaching for more. This is the problem with all of this. Forget multiboxing, you're enabling protester mentality to be a convincing solution to a problem. It's depressing that this community is just (apparently, according to the staff who stated there MANY reports) a die hard pity party. I know most of you are adults, but you sure as hell don't act like it.
The issue with multiboxing is that it brings joy to one person and grief to 40 people - which is why outcry about it has always been numerous.
You can go off topic and argue how to beat them in specific situations, but none of it is relevant. Multiboxing only exists because of a loophole in the original game developers who didn't perceive something like that ever taking place. Nobody in their right mind would intentionally accommodate such playstyle in an RPG.
WoW was not exacly the first game where multiboxing is practiced.
There are alot of multiboxers both on retail and on warmane that actually multibox because of pve and not pvp.
You guys can sit here and blame multiboxers all you want but in Wintergrasp the outcome is RARELY decided by the multiboxer no matter how hard you want to believe that and use that to fuel your so called childish hate for them.
In BGs you can say that unless the multiboxer can lock down the enemy team his chances of winning is not that high due to the other team can dodge him and play objectives AROUND him.
But something i've realized trough out my lifespan on Warmane is that it does not matter how much you try to explain certain things people are still not going to get it or want to understand.
Hello everyone i play on this server for a long time now, but its my first forum post because i think the topic is important.
Im a pvp player and i met a lot of other pvp players and we always agree that multiboxing is anti-fun startegy for pvp community.
1. Wpvp situations
Imagine forming a group of players which takes great amount of time then losing to less organized enemy group with mulitboxer that grants way too much power for 1 person. Also i often see a multiboxer in early morning hours terrorizing capital auction houses because there are not enough players online to defeat him.(wouldnt happen if he played just 1 char like the game is supposed to be, but multiboxing allows him to do this without spending time on forming any group and is basically effortless)
2.Wintergrasp is completely ruined by multiboxing, there is no fun for ordinary players in running away from multiboxer which is often the only strategy to play vs multiboxers. Mulitboxer takes spots away from actual real players and i mean we rather interact with real players than mindless zombies that are duplication of 1 player.
Lets be real the game was never intended to be like this. If u want to control an army play a strategy game or something like that.
Any rogue can do what you claim multiboxers are doing the the auctino house vendors...
Wintergrasp is fine the way it is, if you havent figured it out yet aoe silence/fear is a gret tool vs them which allows your team to either add more cc onto the multiboxer who is alredy spread out due to being feared and then kill him.
You people act like multiboxers are some kind of unkillable warmachine of doom and destruction that destroys everything it touches including your precious Wintergrasp.
Get out of your damn bubble people.
Sure, http://armory.warmane.com/character/...own/statistics
473/523 = 90.4% wins in WSG
291/341 = 85.3% wins in EoTS
He runs with about 7 toons, so almost an entire team in WSG. That one guy can do that and win 90% of the time is just plain ridiculous.
To take care of a rouge i dont need to form a group and have my people online, and still mbx and rouge is 1 person.
Wintergrasp is just a bunch of players playing their game for fun, a lot of new players trying to gear up also, there is no such coordination to cc chain the multiboxer to defeat him.
