This is just awful. If I knew this was possible, I wouldn't have created characters and leveled them up. I'm leaving. There's no pleasure in wasting time.
wow over 23,000 gold gone just like that. thnaks so much. if i would of knew this i would of played more xbox the last 2 months instaed of just wiasting time. i wish i could get all that money back i spent on this site the last few months. I know now not to spend anymore. how dose this help? to me it just feels like we are just loseing are stuff are time and hardwork. is anyone really happy about this???

The squish is beneficial for new players like you tho. Quest rewards and gold drops are now twice as good for you. You don't have to be an auction warrior to be able to afford anything. Stop whining when you should celebrate.Quote:

Accounts aren't deleted, only characters below 50 that have been inactive since previous summer of each year. That's only if you're on standard non-premium account. Premium have no fear of losing characters at all.Quote:

Gold is easy to earn. Should stop hoarding gold if losing half of it is hard to deal with. There are hundreds of trade goods that have hold their value over the years, if not even a decade, so why focus on gold when you can have it on items as well. Prizes will fluctuate a little bit, but even that can be turned into profit.
Gold squish is only negative to those who are unaware of it or don't know how to work around it. Before Jan 31 I didn't have that much in-game gold, and even with casual play gold accumulated enough to make few investments and buying artisan flying on two of my characters wasn't hard (naturally I spend 8k on those sessions instead of 10k like a pleb). Still had fair amount of leftover gold that I allowed to be halved so that I could buy trade goods with reduced prices to turn it into a) less effective gold squish [call it 25% squish if you will] b) potential profit or future investment.

They cut everyones gold in half to curb inflation. They do it every year. Did you even read the post you're commenting under? Because it tells you when, how and why it happened.Quote:
