Prey On The Weak Fixed
Update plz :D
http://forum.molten-wow.com/bugtraq....iew&vbug_id=27
just gonna ask some questions
1.how much arpen do i really need in pvp?do i need to equip some pve gear to have more arpen?or full gemming arpen is enough?
2.I am kinda thinking of what major glyphs i should use..can you give me some list of good glyphs and why i should get them?
3.do a combat rogue need to have much CP to deal great damage?or it is just specially used for expose armor, kidney shot, deadly throw and etc. and is not particularly for eviscerate?or eviscerate is a good damage dealing finishing move?
4.And if Prey of the Weak is fixed in all servers..is it good to get it when i got healers?
I hope for some friendly replies..tnx
600-700 ArP is a good number. Yes, you will need some PvE gear, but not too much. "... of Sundering" necklace & cloak will really help a lot in this case. Don't forget that you need an ArP proccing trinket as well (Grim Toll, Mjolnir Runestone, Needle-Encrusted Scorpion)
GoSS is mandatory for every Combat Rogue, GoCloS is also advisable because of the exposed fighting style Combat has, you can use GoKS, GoAR or GoBF as a third glyph if you respectively: do longer arenas and want to use KS more than once, do shorter arenas & want to ensure the fight is over before AR is out, want more burst and/or hate BF taking precious energy from your bar.Quote:

Eviscerate got fixed relatively soon. Thus it does good damage now. Still, Eviscerate was never a preferred finisher for Combat even on retail except for when you are fighting vs clothers or your opponent is low on health. But yes, most of the time you will be using your CPs for EA, KShot, DT & SnD, from which you only need a full-CP finisher for KShot - 2-3 CPs are totally enough for the other finishers.Quote:

Although PotW is quite a good talent, I was staring at my monitor for around 10mins and I couldn't find a suitable talent to sacrifice for PotW - they all just seem quite freaking important for me. Having in mind you said "when i got healers" I guess you mean sacrificing Nerves of Steel 2/2 (and Weapon Expertise 2/2, it's negligible in PvP). I am not sure if -30% Dmg taken while Feared & Stunned is worth sacrificing for PotW. You could as well sacrifice TPs from Aggression, but again - it's not a good idea... So I don't know, your call dude.Quote:

Ahh, just cant choose what's better - Mace spec. or Sword spec. Can you give me more detailed information about this, please.
@talarej
tnx for the answers sir..got new questions..xD
1.throwing spec can interrupt castings for 3 sec ryt?(or maybe i just misread)..does it mean that the casters cant cast any casting spell for 3 sec?
2.what is this change weapon macro and can you change offhand weapon during combat or you need to leave combat to perform this?
3.So i also need an arpen proc trink?then how can i perform the attack power trink+KS?does this mean that i cant perform that combo anymore or do i need to sacrifice medallion?
Maybe i'll ask more if something bugs me out..but for now, that should do..still hoping for answers..xD
You would want Mace Spec if you want to have more ArP, logically. The thing is that with so much PvP gear, which you need to have as Combat, because you fight exposed & you need that stamina & resilience, it's a bit hard to accumulate ArP. That's why Mace Spec is a common choice for Combat PvP.
You would want Hack & Slash just because it's the best weapon spec. It grants you an extra hit, which can crit & proc poisons on its own. An extra hit is always better than a crit. The problem is that you may have too low ArP rolling with H&S and also H&S was reported as bugged, proccing way too low & not proccing from special attacks (like Sinister Strike).
Your call.
Hi kramzy! Very nice questions :)
1. Interrupting means that they can't cast a spell from the same school. E.g. a Mage casts Frostbolt at you, you perform Deadly Throw, you interrupt his Frost spell-school, he can still Blink & Fire Blast you, but he cannot do Ice Block... if you are in the right place & in the right time in that moment, you just killed him :D
2. Normally, you cannot change any kind of gear while in combat. Weapons are an exception though. Think of it like this: you are a Rogue IRL, you have 2 sets of daggers - one which pierces through armor and another one which punctures flesh with ease - at any time during combat you just change them with the ones you're not using in your hip-pouch... you can't do that with your chest armor and the others, can you? :D
You could just use /equip #weapon_name# if the weapon goes into the Off-hand slot. Or you can use slot numbers. I don't know which number stands for which slot though.
3. If you're human, you can have both. If not, get an ArP proc trinket.
Hope I helped!

@taraleg
tnx again man..xD..i really appreciate your help..
got something new ones again...
1. if you have the bladefurry buff on...and you used fan of knives..will a two sticking oponents receive more damage?
2.do you know how much range is bladefurry's aoe damage?
3.Just want to ask if its a good choice to have instant poison on the weapon to be swap during a weapon swap macro when i perform KS?
4.Expose Armor reduces the enemies total armor right?and is not scaled together with arpen?
Ones again...im hoping for some replyies..:)
More Power!
1) Yes
2) Afaik it's melee range from your original target.
3) Doesn't really matter at all.
4) Yes, so if a person has 20k armor your Expose will initially reduce it to 16k before ArP kicks in. Even though it is not scaled with armor penetration, it is still needed to reduce most targets armor to 0.
Heya kramzy!
Rarly already answered most of your questions, but anyway...
1) Yes, BF + FoK works :) and it's freaking awesome...
2) As Rarly said - melee range, meaning 5 yards.
3) @ Rarly - actually it matters since IP is ppm. So having 2xIP won't help you... Have the same poison that you had on the weapon being swapped so that you keep the IP + DP combo. Once again - perform KSpree with 5xDP on the target to ensure more IP procs during KSpree.
4) You got the idea quite clear & Rarly explained it pretty well as well. ArP & armor debuffs work separately.
Hope I helped...
P.S. thx rarly 4 supporting my thread.
If you for some reason use DP / IP in PvP switching to IP would actually increase your damage (using your own build, due to 37.14% chance to proc on a 2.6 weapon, which I assume you switch to if you're switching to do more powerful killing sprees). The reason I said it didn't matter is because even if you do, the gains are so minor they don't even matter. In worst case scenarios the GCDs you lose will actually turn your benefit into a loss.
tl;dr - IP 37.14% chance to proc, DP 30% chance to proc double IP does more damage.
One last thing though, you should use Wound / Crippling unless you don't want to be kited to infinity.
Poisons are a highly personalized choice. Wound + Crippling usually works best for all non-Deadly Brew specs, but don't forget about Blade Twisting (and Waylay for Sub) - sure it's not a 100% chance, but it still is a quite reliable talent. Usually it hardly ever drops from your target & it has no DR since it's a Daze. The whole purpose of the talent is to replace Crippling Poison for Combat, the same way Assassination has Deadly Brew & Subtlety has Waylay.
As I said, having CP always ensures your target is slowed, but still - it's a personal choice and there are options available. That's what makes PvP unique compared to PvE (no "lolnab, u no haz best talents for patch 3.3.5 u bad")
Peace^^
Blade Twisting is not reliable at all, and it's inferior anyway because of Crippling being 70%. Wound is not really something you can choose away, if you face a healer. No slows have DRs anyway, not sure how this makes Blade Twisting 'special'. If you wish to peel someone of your partner it's awful, you can't really compare it to Waylay / Deadly Brew as those can be shived / backstabbed for a 100% chance.
Of course you can choose to run without Crippling / Wound but you are only gimping yourself against pretty much everything, but hey, if you want to do more damage in your small time on a target be my guest, but Crippling will always triumph vs Blade Twisting in 3.3.5, same way as Wound will always be better for damage they will not heal up compared to IP.
