I blame people for not being able to delve into "big talks" out of the blue. I miss the times when we would sit at the table in our favorite pub, then this random epic old guy kicks in and we start having the most astounding conversation about the origin of life on Earth and gravity. Turns out he was a professor at the university of pharmacy and medicine.
Nowadays it's all about the rituals. Love a girl? You must perform the dating / calling / texting ritual. Want to befriend with someone? No can do unless you get introduced by a third person and you are willing to live through countless hours of awkward small talks.
One of my friends once said "It all depends on the person" after a long debate on human personalities and relationships, styles and so... It's a very good joke argument when you just want to end some conversation and it applies on most of the regular discussions.
So, the way one starts a conversation or the ability to learn/teach languages. It all depends on person xD
