Many pointless things have happened in my absence.

Ridiculous scholarship winnings from bowling, recognition from an agent concerning a light novel I've been working on for ages, a newly obtained obnoxious girlfriend that probably won't last long at all, and a comfortable new apartment.

I think the only reason I agreed to date her was to show my parents that I'm not gay. They think that valuing education and work too much to date means you're gay.
