Most of the early affliction tree talents are optional and change according to the player's like's dislikes. Nightfall is nice to have, but so is imp fh (especially if shadow bite is working again) and if i have imp fh I might as well get dark pact.
As for why i took a point out of ruin, it was to keep healing my pet. I felt that it cost me less dps than to stop casting and health funnel my pet. I could be wrong, but I'll wait and see.

You are losing a lot of dps from that point in ruin, shadow bolt is or should be your first or 2nd damage skill.
If you want to drp something for pet heals, let it be imp felhunter since you dont want to remove dark pact.
oh i found out how to fix that - all the dots u had before you got the bite - let them run out, then apply them again - only then the 100% dmg increase works.Quote:
