I've just finished my Skydiving course (Accelarated FreeFall) and can now start jumping everywhere on Earth!
Now I'll be grinding myself enough to buy my first wingsuit in the upcoming years <3
Top that!
You finished your Skydiving course, I finished my sandwich. Different priorities I guess.
Watching wingsuit malfunction videos is very entertaining, especially when it was done from very high heights.
Those used to be funny, but then it got overdone and stupid when it started popping all over the net so much it felt like people were crushing their skulls on the pavement on purpose to be famous.
Wingsuit ones are funnier because you can see the people struggling to not plummet to the ground, some get so far into stupidity that they look like they want to flap their arms to save themselves.
Humans will do whatever they can to save themselves if they're life is in danger. It's not stupidity. If you don't believe me, hold yourself under water until you're desperate for air. Hold yourself there until you start breathing in water. "Breathing in water", doesn't that sound stupid? But guess what. You won't be able to help it.
Now as you have water rushing into your airways, you're going to choke and cough. Which will cause you to ingest more water. And as the water reaches the lower airways, you're throat will begin to have spasms trying to block the water from entering your lungs. And during this whole process of drowning, you'll be flapping your arms or holding onto your neck.
In life threatening situations, you'll do anything to save yourself.
I'm able to breathe air without flapping my arms while falling from any height.
There's a huge difference between spasms in reflex from choking - which are pretty much instinctive - and trying to turn into a humming bird while gravity is laughing at your face - which really shouldn't be among the instincts of regular human beings.
But hey, good luck with your flapping, don't migrate too far with the birds.
