This whole "RP discussion" started cause those dragon hunters said World PvP has nothing to do with MMORPG genre. They would gladly see it completely removed from the game like it is on PvE realms cause all they care about is slaying same dragons millions of times.
There is literally no one crying about this idea that doesn't have a gigantic stick up their *** about world pvp. Do people not also realize that 60-70 will be dramatically faster than 1-60 was?Quote:

Actually getting 3k arena rating is not hardcore at all. Leveling how it was in tbc sounds delightful.

RDF being disabled untill wrath is blizzlike. so should flying mounts.

Mounts have been the same as wrath so give us flying at 60.
Everything else is just opinion based on biased views.
promote world pvp, crush all the script killers. also, i like that RDF disable even more, so we can camp dungeon entrances. RDF was a terrible design decision no matter how you look at that. also, blizzard lost over 3 million subs with retail being a complete garbage pvp wise, since they balance everything around pve. RDF and FLYING are one of those terrible design decisions too (blizz started losing subs on cata and that's when they introduced flying everywhere, balancing around pve and slowly stopped giving a **** about pvp, since they learned from games like hearthstone, that there are more average or below average people that like simplicity and no competition). luckily, they didn't **** up wotlk too much and with those critical things disabled, i really have high hopes for this realm. even more so if they increase the exp required for leveling in outland, like it was on tbc before blizz reduced it.
I completely disagree with this as soon as all the lvling nerds get to 70 they will be flying over Honor Hold camping everyone trying to level up etc. Then the non 70s that cant fly will be getting rekt every 5 mins whether they like it or not. I just think changing it to 70 is a stupid idea. this is ment to be a Wotlk server not Vanilla or TBC. lets just stick with what we should be getting at each level milestone like wrath because the talent trees we have dont reflect TBC or vanilla so why is it ok to do away with crucial things like the flying skill at 60.
If you could fly at 60, you'd just have gankers who have enough gold for flying mounts hunting down the several people who couldn't save up that 250g the minute Outland is here, making the experience hellish for those people from the very start. This way, at least everyone starts off on a level playing field. The point about BC talents is neither here nor there, much like the several other arguments in this thread.Quote:

Let me point something out that it seems most of the people and maybe some of the staff might be ignoring, either intentionally or not.
MMORPG stands for - Massively Multiplayer Online RolePlay Game.
Features that most MMORPGs have are:
-PVP.
-Some kind of world PVP.(like that resource system in Silithus)
-PVE.
-SOme kind of world PVE(World bosses and random events like murlocs attacking goldshire.)
-Proffessions.
-Playing Aucion house.
-Managing guilds.
-Helping others(being a helpful person).
-Exploring the world.
-Exploring the lore.
-Collecting rare items/titles.
-Finishing achievements.
-Socializing.
Might be missing some features. They are features, designed to attract certain players. Some hate PVP, yet love AH, achievments and helping. Others just play so they could immerse themselves in a world and defeat challengers with fellow players. Saying that because PVP is allowed, does not mean it should become a focus. Look at PVP only realm. Why is it so low on population? Because most of features I listed are not there.
My opinion. I am against it. I grinded realm first ambassador tittle at level 30 because I hated pvp(I allowed first and maybe second wave of leveling people to advance in order to see less wpvp.). I love this server, because it allows me to gain achievements, tittles, rare pets and mounts, explore world in non-broken state, maybe even do some RP(not really good idea due to some *******s and limited tools.) and that is what I enjoy. I like listening to music/podcasts/talking with friends and "plowing" through quests, advancing my level and helping others. If not for pvp gear being clear upgrade and RDF being disabled, I would not do as many BGs as I am.(The set also looks kinda cool on shaman).
Oh and why I hate wPVP? I am too stressed since I know a single missjudged click will mean I stand no chance. I do bgs and not get stressed, since I know odds are more or less balanced and if I make a mistake it will mean I made it and thus was punished, while in wPVP most common mistake is you decided to level a character instead of just being level 60 or what ever.
Have you seen the changelog?
"Flying mounts and Flight Form will not be usable before level 70" ...

Not like it would matter anyway, but just for them to see "what the community wants".
Pretty sure the absolute majority would vote "No" for flying being disabled till 70. It seems they've already made their decision so it's too late anyway.
Also, if they had decided to disable it early on, then it's quite understandable (Lordaeron being a hardcore realm and whatnot). BUT if they considered this decision based on this garbage thread I'd be fairly disappointed.
