Why no PVE only server?

Both, PvPers and PvEers do everything they can to get a advantage.
Call it abusing or smart usage of game mechanics.

If there was a "toggle PvP off" option in a online shooter then everybody would toggle PvP off until his crosshair target the opponents head.
Would such a PvP be funny? I doubt it...

I already called it abusing.
A "toggle PvP off" on an online PvP shooter has no parallel here - those games are meant to be PvP games, while World of Warcraft only has that as part of it.

But think about what you're saying. You're claiming that if there was a PvP toggle the people who enjoy PvP would use it. People that supposedly want to have PvP with others would want to choose when to engage in PvP. How do you think people who do not want to PvP at all feel when they don't have that option, people who aren't going to and don't want to "be prepared" and just want to have their own fun not at the expense of others'?

No, its not. This argumentation can also be used vice versa:
The fact that world pvp happens frequently on a PvP realm is the proof that the ppl want world pvp because players aren't forced to fight against each other on a PvP realm. Its their own decision to keep the war between Alliance and Horde alive.

But it has a parallel when it comes to PvP in WoW. I mentioned it to show how a toggle PvP on/off can mess up the PvP.

I claim that World PvP simply wont happen on a PvE realm unless its a "organised battle" like a guild vs guild battle which are rare occasions.

U make it look as if a PvE realm would be the perfect solution where PvPer have World pvp while PvEer stay out of it.
In theory this might sound great but in reality the PvP toggle option makes World PvP just inexistent.

The perfect solution would be to have a PvP and a PvE realm so ppl can choice whatever they prefer but the problem is that Warmanes playerbase isn't large enough to provide a PvP and PvE realm for each expansion.

A compromise would be that in contested areas players with a similiar level range can always attack each other but high level players can only attack low level players when their PvP is turned on.
I like this solution the most because it would stop high level players from ganking lowies but it doesn't kill world PvP completely.

What about switching one of the two wotlk x7 realm in a normal one? They actually offer the same gaming experience, it would not be so bad to have a place where the pve heroes can relax a bit more. I do agree that Lordaeron should remain 1x PvP for its hardcore and leveling philosophy.

Am I the only person that has been ganked only once of twice while leveling? Are you people seriously proposing of opening another realm just so you can't get ganked one time while having your 'le pve leveling experience'?

Here is the best part.....YOU DON'T HAVE TO JOIN A "PvE/Normal" REALM if one was made. Why would you want to eliminate choice with the player? Isn't choices the best part of the game so you do content they enjoy?

Your "claim" is just that. A claim. Based on nothing. I have subscribed multiple accts on blizzard since the day it opened. I played almost evenly on PvP and PvE realms. The best world PvP happened on the PvE servers because every world PvP was one in which everyone participating was ready. On the PvP servers once in a while you'd have good world PvP, but more rare. And the retail PvP server experience was WAY better than our PvP experience here, because on the blizzard PvP server EVERYONE WHO SIGNED UP FOR IT WAS VOTING FOR THAT EXPERIENCE. Here we have most players hating that experience but there was no viable option here so they chose to try to put up with it.

Think about what a PvE flag premium option would do for a minute. Quality of world PvP would increase because all parties would be engaged. Faction cities will still have the PvP, and lets admit, currently that's the only place currently that has even a remote amount of quality world PvP anyhow here. The server would have thousands of additional dollars, tons more developers, and servers would be full (thus even further improving all aspects of the server including world PvP). And keep in mind, many players would still not purchase the flag, so free game for wimps to attack them. It would simply be a tish harder for no-skill chumps who could never win a fair fight in PvP to find sacrificial nekkid noobs to kill. That's it. Nothing more. Huge gains for the server, its players, its community, size, activity, fun, and a tiny itzy bitzy additional work for the little-peen chumps who have made it their personal goal to force all low level players to rage-quit, and hurt the server. I would choose not having a server that just caters to those who want to ruin it.

Now, dude, we need to right now put to bed the idea of creating new servers that are PvE. People keep mentioning this as if it were a serious option. It is a terrible option and we are going to put an end to it right now with logic. Lets say we opened a new MoP PvE server. We'd have to give free transfers to anyone who wanted to leave Frostwolf to the new one. So not only would those who would have purchased a premium PvP toggle flag leave Frostwolf, but everyone who would love PvP/PvE option flag but wouldn't have purchased one would switch. So Frostwolf would then have 30 people left, and the new server would grow to max population before long. Then Frostwolf would be closed due to lack of players. How stupid is that, a reasonable proposal has to be to add the flag to existing servers. Everyone wins.

Yep, half of the retail playerbase plays on PvP realms because PvP is better on PvE realms.

U exaggerate when it comes to the positive effects of such a premium feature but I still dont find the idea that bad.

It would give the PvE heroes, that really hate world pvp that much and cant life with it, the option to spent money to avoid PvP.
It would mean additional money for Warmane (especially Lordaeron).
And last but not least I think that only a small fraction of the total playerbase would donate for such a feature so we would still have active world pvp.

How the hell does that prove I have no interest in 'real pvp', and what the hell am I supposed to do when I get 10 minute arena queue's at only 2k mmr or those 30 minute battleground queue's? COOKING AND FISHING? I'd rather interact with other players, be it helping someone with a few quests or camping corpses of others and hope they call friends for help.
