im not quite sure how difficult it would be, but if its simple, could set the realm(s) to PVE every sunday so everyone could take a break, catch a breath and not having to look over their shoulders. like an R&R day, and both factions could just hangout together or something.

It is so totally obvious that every single responder against a No PVP condition are those that enjoy making the game miserable for those who don't. For those who say they have been ganked once you are either lying or rarely play. I've been ganked at times 6 times in one hour and what's worse by players whose levels are so much higher than mine all I see is "??" which meanst AT LEAST 10 levels higher than me which also means we are not in competition for quest items, they get no honor reward so all they gain is this "fun" you talk about which comes completely at the expense of those that don't care at all about PVP or at the very least expect it to be with near equals.. This lowbie ganking is so rampant right now on Lordaeron that it is an actual game killer. It's not challenging and it's not fun, it's ****ing miserable sometimes.
Often PVP players do nothing else in the game. They don't work professions, don't do dungeons or do them very badly, so they don't need items from the economy when all they need they can get from BGs, Arenas, and Honor vendors. PVE players OTOH more often do professions and quests and need massive bag space already to accommodate gathered mats, quest items, vendor items as well as gear often 2 sets for dual use (eg: Healer, Tank) and having to add PVP gear sets just to be able to quest and gather when gold drain makes bag space a premium is just asking way too much.
I do share concern that populations are not high enough for all PVE realms but the problem can be solved by a dual condition limitation on World PVP. One example would be that if a player has his PVP Flag set to "Off" and is ALSO more than some to be determined level lower than you, you can't attack him. I'd be reasonably happy with that level discrepancy being set to 10 even though with current hit mechanics one is lucky to hit even 20% of attacks on a mob or player just 6 levels higher. This is essentially zero chance to survive such a battle and is still despicable IMHO but I suppose the line must be some kind of compromise.

I've always been avoiding PvP servers simply because World PvP kills the fun. I usually run around for myself, questing, doing dungeons and so on but knowing that at some point, you will meet a player that thinks "Heeeey - easy target. Let's ruin his/her quest or even just kill the player."
For those who does not enjoy PvP - well, I can only speak for myself - it drains the fun. I don't mind people doing PvP but it's not fun being in PvP all the time when you don't doing 24/7. Personally, I suck at it because it's something I don't use time on and not planning on doing so.
If people are worried that a PvE server will "steal" players from Lordaeron, then merge with another PvP server that is less populated. That way, Lordaeron gets most of the lost players back and the less populated server gets more players. It would be a win/win.
Even if you level up in the most uncommon zones you will always have a chance to meet a ganker. Don't troll about it. Also because you may have no more than three zones to choose between when you are at a certain level, unless you are one of those who have always played only in high rates realms or if you just farm rdf while sitting in a capital city 24/7.Quote:

The two mentioned things happen frequently on Lordaeron but it hardly happens that a player is intentionally waiting at ur corpse just to kill u again and again to ruin ur game experience.
Yes, it can happen. I encountered a few rogs that have done it but it is not as common.
A lvl capped player, no matter the expansion we are talking about, who oneshots you for no reason even if he is just passing by. There's no reason to do it and if he sits there waiting for you to resurrect it's even worst.Quote:

The reason there is no real argument here is that all people who want the #1 and #2 experience will have their way if we add a PvP flag. Think about it. The world PvP will still exist, and it will be more fun because everyone will be a participant, even if they are low level and ganked because they chose to look over their shoulder for excitement.
You see, PvP toggle flag is a win for every one. Its a way to have a PvE server and a PvP server merged. We do not allow populations to bleed to a separate server by spliting them, this means more players to do everything. What really is the downside to becoming more blizzlike and allowing EVERY player choose his own participation level. There should be no fear by those who want option #1, because this only improves your experience too. Why hunt turtles, its a waste of time, rather hunt a fox, or a tiger. You will be surprised how often PvE players do world PvP. They just do it smarter.
