theres 2 actually: first one is I didnt know you can scroll down on the talent trees to see other talents which I thought was bugged and asked people for days to help me aince I saw on the interwebs that there are more. Bottom line is I accidentally scrolled and saw how stupid I was. Second I didnt know you can teleport to dalaran when I first reached lvl 80 so bascally I walked from borean to dalaran (Dont have money for flying mounts) so basically it was 1 hour and 30 mins of walking, but I dont remember how exactly I just remember when I first reached icecrown by like crossing a mountain then when I can finally see Dalaran well.... I forgot what happened but I only remember it took me an hour to get to icecrown by idk wth I did I think it was sholzar basin or w/e where I had a really hard time getting out of it.

I didn't learn about keybind until 1 year of play time, so I was a clicker. I then tried it and found it way too hard so meanwhile I became a master clicker! xD

after 2 years of playing on molten, i've just recently (bout a week ago) learned how to set up and use my 1st macro.

When I made my first mage back in vanilla, I thought that every single weapon was useful to mages. I carried this mentality up until right after tbc was released. Then someone in my guild told me that I should only use swords that had mage stats on them :P
Also out of over 7 years of playing WoW, I have only made/lead about 6 raids. I do not mind people depending on me, but when it comes to a raid, I can't stand being the leader.

I introduced my headset to my desk, my floor, and my wall, all in a matter of two seconds.

i was playing a priest for 1st time, and when i came to stormwind, it was so cool for me, that i was afraid to leave outside at gates to elwynn, cause i thought i will get lost in woods,
i was night elf, and some guy showed me way to sw.....

During mc raids in vanilla i was always going oom compared to the other priests, then i discovered rank 4 heal

I remember doing Magisters' Terrace as my first dungeon ever. I had no clue what pulling meant, I just knew I was in group with 4 other people who were yelling at me as I just continued aggroing entire instance.
I was passing on everything and some guy decided to troll me by telling me warlocks need attack power, sooo yeah.. I had attack power on every piece of gear I had.
Not to mention at very start of me playing WoW I'd be picking gear depending on how good it looks.. just because... yeah dresses were cool, especially low level ones.
-
I refused to wear certain pieces of headgear because of how stupid they looked. Had no idea you could change the display settings not to show it.

Uggh... Tbh this should be inspirational for people who just start the game. As wow community goes and it doesn't really change between retail and private, you will find yourself in a lot of unpleasant situations for your mistakes or bad gear. Don't give up. Here's short of my story:
First time when I started playing retail wow in 2007 I was playing a warrior and I wanted to dps, but I was using shield because I thought it's just better.
Then I rerolled hunter and was using items by their damage and armor stats, not by ACTUAL stats, so I was using sword with melee proc and was replacing agility gear with some other crap just because it had more armor.
After merely half a year ended up being one of top, if not THE top, hunters on server anyway...

A couple of years ago when I was playing classic I pretty much bought equipment that had the most armor and I didn't pay attention to the attributes it gave me. I also didn't know that dungeons existed so I only played battlegrounds and I didn't know what to do in them so I just tried to kill everyone I saw.
