In cataclysm, Ban does not fly. Once he spawns he slowly falls on the ground with a stairs manner and then keeps flying on ground. He reaches ground right near shrine. When tamed he doesn't fly as well, so you cannot attack flying people, while you can with Aotona. Ban is still the rarest in Neltharion, owned by 3-4 people and one guy has even two...
THAt is only rare that it can spawn on ground but he commonly spawns flying up. i did receive that report that some hunts found him spawning on the ground but its only very rare.Quote:

That is what i am talking about i am talking about the cata one and i am not insulting you at all, calm down -_-. I played cata and i got my very first banthalos in cata. Like i said Banthalos can spawn flying then fall and patrol on the ground when it spawns, i trust you there but mine was patroling high at the sky all the way to blazewing path. It is just a script error if it falls down. Like i said both ways are rare.Quote:

well if it first has spawned flying before it falls, yes it is possible, i had added a video guide how to tame banthalos from the tree and the one about disengaging. You just need to scale urself on the tree then u mount yourself without moving out of the tree, just fly up around 3-5 inches up from the tree and when it spawns, shoot it with ur tranquilizing shot (since it does 0 damage and its completly safe) and then u will take a 20% fall dmg & land on the tree and then cast tame beast.Quote:
