you only joined us on may 21, 2016. Not having experienced the major data wipe last year means that you never actually experienced what is like to loose everything and start all over from scratch. Major changes like this affect players across the board, and frankly it makes older players weary.
I've seen ppl complain about how Lordaeron shouldnt be compared to icecrown, yet somehow Lordaeron's supposed to be the model for every other realm to be built on? Isn's that a little hypocritical?
Frankly with wow fans of various legacy expansions growing older, a lot of ppl simply dont have the time to deal with having to travel all over the damn map for one single node of resource like you did back in retail's prime. If they do have the time, there's always lordaeron. Daily player statistics is a very clear indication of how many ppl wants to play on an absolute 1x realm, taking choices away from your community seems like a poor excuse for not having better and rewarding gold sinks. Millionaires will always exist in this game, simply because the realms are pretty much going to be stuck on their respective expansions, making that process slower is hardly a "fix" on the economy. Newcomers who loved the expansion but don't have time to be a hardcore grinder will be left out, and they will look elsewhere.
