When I started playing WoW back in Wrath, I had no idea where to start, took me a month for lvl 27 :\
6 years ago it took me 8 - 9 months to reach cap level :D
When I start a new char I don't take my time and enjoy lvling like I prolly should. :|
When i first started on retail wotlk, I made a Nelf warrior and around lvl 3, i sold all my clothes/gear stuff just to buy a bow , which I couldn't equip because i was a warrior and should have learned it.... And mostly I don't know what the most abbreviations are
I made an orc warrior .... and named him Thrallvinvanbuuren .
So much epicness in this little thread :D.
Back on TBC :
- I didn't understand the difference between pvp and pve items.
- I gained so much BG badges/marks and then I raged for 2 hours near the vendors searching for the " tank items".
- I thought you could transform the gold/silver ore into actual money by some unknown technique.
i only started using macros few days ago =(
since then, my honor gain increased ten fold
When I started playing 6 years ago on retail, I made a Nelf and didn't move from their island for a whole week. Thought that was it.
First time i played WoW (my first paladin) -
i had holy spec(some friend told me to use it), strength items and polearm with strength and i tanked rdfs until level 40 or so and then on maraudon i kept wondering why i can't tank it while other people can with no problems. So after that, for few more levels i dpsed in holy spec using only judgement, basic attack and holy shock. Also my lvling was so bad, i could barely kill things and most people just facerolled me when they attacked. So one day i decided to try retri - best. day. ever. :D
Also i got holy gear, intel items and what not, so i healed rdfs like crazy when i realised that holy is actually for healing :D
I love this thread! :)
I suck at this game, but the most pathetic thing is probably when I first was in Stormwind for a couple of months ago. I "stole" one barrel of fish (or anything?), and I got instantly scared for what would happend to me - so I logged out of the game and didnt log in for several days. I thought the guards would have forgotten it by then. And they had. Since then, I never click on apples, fish or anything else in Stormwind.
Another thing; Everytime a horde kills me when I am leveling, I log in with a 85 to take revenge. Even if the horde is three levels beyond me (I told you I suck). That's my way of even the duel out. One time i corpse-camped a lvl30 with my 85 for 20 minutes just because he killed my toon. After I have done this, I think to my self that I thaught them a real lesson. Pathetic, indeed.
Tho i've started playing about 3 years ago, i still cant spell the names of most of the maps, and have to check the map to make sure i call it right and spell it right :X
I also do not remember names of any of the dungeon's bosses except of Beauty (cause its lovely)
I am good with guild and player's names tho ;)
Back in Vanilla I thought I had to equip my items by putting them in the action bar...
When I started playing, it was on TBC, I leveled my first char Blood Elf Paladin, and I went from level 1 to wait on holy talent tree because I didn't understand how talents worked and I would spend all points in holy.
The early wotlk i remembered i'm lvl 50 n i have only spell n that one is rank one shadow bolt:p
