Disarm totems ?

Heya guys !

As I've never played Shaman on retail, I would like to know about something I suspect bugged but idk...
When I get disarmed, I lose my equiped totem which makes me unable to summon my totems while I'm debuffed... is that normal ? I guess "Disarm" is supposed to affect "weapons" ! It's really annoying against priests, especially when I only play Ele. If it's not a bug, so that means they are the hardest class for shamies, even harder than locks/hunts...

Totems never gave a s*** about disarm, in any xpac ever. Something's wrong if they do now.

Maybe it's because it disarms your ranged weapon slot, which is where is equipped you totem (the item) that allows you to use your totems (the spells).
I used to have this same problem on a different server, but i don't know if that's intended or not...

Equiped totems are not even weapons... :s
So what's the conclusion ? Bug or not ?

So my memory wasn't wrong, you could drop totems while disarmed. Didn't wanna post and claim bull since I know there was a fix during wotlk, just couldn't remember what it exactly did.

So it was possible during a short period even on Retail ? Still don't understand if it was a "bug" or not...
Seems that totems shouldn't drop now, since we're playing 3.3.5 right

Have had it happen to me It has to do with your "ranged" / relic slot being disarmed. I don't think this was ever the intention but it does happen occasionally. I usually keep my oldschool totems in my bags because they can't be disarmed.

Just keeping an extra totem for a different spec in your bags will allow you to use totems while disarmed.

It also can be avoided by not completing that quest where you exchange 4 totems for 1 :)

That 1 totem, if kept in the inventory along with another totem you have equipped prevents it just fine too.

Still wanna know if it is a bug or not...
