I have the same issue with MoP. On WotLK the message says "Unable to connect. Please try again later. If the problem persists, please contact technical support at..."
Forgot to mention that I'm playing on Frostwolf (MoP).
I redownloaded the game but it still behaves the same way. What the heck is going on, is anyone else having this problem? I see a lot of people logged in on Frostwolf so I guess that its playable.
I've encountered the same problem on WOTLK (Ragnaros) , when I try to login I get stuck at connecting and after a while I get the "Unable to connect" thingy . I already tried to delete Cache and even WTF but the problem persists , wat do?
L.E : modified the realmlist to logon.molten-wow.com and it works but I get spammed .
Same problem here and another 3 - 4 ppl I know, we are all playing MOP (Frostwolf). Cannot connect anymore ...

So, if I understand correctly, since there is no problem on the antivirus/firewall side, the problem is that the server is overloaded? Maybe because of the realms merging? Few hours ago it worked just fine ... Thank you for reply!
Flush ur DNS, helps most of the time, if u'r stuck at connecting.

Since the problem appeared out of the blue about 4 - 5 hours ago, on multiple PCs on different networks and all using different antivirus applications and opperating systems, there is hardly a coincidence or a problem on the end-user side. The only problem rendering the server unreacheable that I can think of is the server overload.
Seems it is working for me too when changing to the old realmlist, but I keep getting spammed to change to the new. The new doesnt let me log in, so I have tested the ping: it does not work, it can't be pinged.Quote:

At this moment I can log in, without any changes in realmlist. So the problem must be with server overload or a faulty acces point on the line. Working fine now, ping normal.
