Lordaeron discuission, the demand, the opinions, your thoughts?

Hello!

I wanna start with and say that i am actually happy that they decided to make this idea into reality by announcing Lordaeron and perhaps have it as a seperate server which is hopefully gonna be a progressive ''blizz-like'' realm but let's be honest don't warmane have a bit more that they can chew? Is it just me who don't see the demand of another wrath of the lich king server who is 1x and progressive/blizz-like? Isn't majority of the player base already dead tierd of the same raids and instances for what is it years now? I mean sure it could be a mega hit and i can be just spewing bullcrap but i just never saw the whole hype about relaunching it... I have played it in the past and i rather not try to relive the memories again.. But who knows? Maybe i start playing there again and maybe it has better scripts then we ever could imagine... But the real question i'm curious about is:

What is your opinion that their main ''focus'' is wrath of the lich king and Lordaeron? Good or bad?
Have you noticed a lot of demand of a 1x progressive wotlk realm from Warmane side, meaning the community?

i think it's gonna be a flop. sure it might get some players, but i can't see it gaining enough for it to be worth the effort put into. but time shall tell.

I also think it'll be a flop. It's way too late for that. And those that really want something like that have had other servers for years and haven't (or have) gone there.

The Lordaeron 2.0 project is Warmane's opportunity to redeem itself. I think the relaunch is the best time to coincide with the upcoming fixes, thanks to the dev team's hardwork and transparency. And I like how the motive of this relaunch is shaping up - usually, new realms are there to accommodate more players and ofc cash grab, but Lord is special in a way that the team is listening to the community again. I remember when Lordaeron first launched in mid-2011; those were the best times because Molten listened to the community every step on the way, from conducting forum surveys to providing quick feedback.

I just don't see the point, really. Unless they are going to re-script every raid and every dungeon, fix the achievements, world events and 99% of the quests - to be on pair with their competition.
And I've heard enough promisses about 99% working WotLK to belive that this http://ujeb.se/BDNR0 is true... but we'll see.

I don't know.... I personally do not need this cause i'm mop player...
The point is : Once this server is up, how many ppl will play? will it be couple of hundred ppl all day long?

Yep us old lord players stuck with all our stufff on a x7 realm we didnt want and if we go back to lordaeron what we going to do with all our geared toons and mounts then? Also most i know went to other servers that already blizz like seems a bit too late now for all this really :(

What is Lordaeron supposed to be other than a 1x server with the same issues as all other realms? There aren't any secret scripts being prepared only for Lordaeron.

All your players are belong to Lordaeron. Are you the pregnants?

whats the use of bringing 1x realm n fixing the legendary quests as ppl r gonna reserve the quest items as they r doin on other wotlk realms. They get donated gear host a icc-25 BOES n primos reserved. NOW that the legendary quest maybe fixed on lardaeron they will reserve the shards too. ALmost every1 has started doin it on the wotlk realms.IT was not like this b4 the server wipeout.

u guys r doin a great job no doubt bout it.But what i think is that u stop this from happening on the lordaeron realm.If u can do so it would really b great.

As long as there is no shadowmourne to buy im happy! Can't wait! lol

What is it supposed to be other than x1? It is our goal to make it the most pure, blizz-like realm we have. We'll have to experiment some with having the realm break even on its costs, but the ultimate goal is to have it as "donor item" free as possible, while taking priority on the "experience" fixes. Basic things, right down to the questing and low level dungeons.

Exactly. During moltdown many people went to play on other servers and saw that they are ahead of molten in terms of scripting, some of them never came back.
My guild from DW went to play on that-big-russian-server, they were amazed how DBS is not a trining dummy, PP is impossible to exploit and actually kinda hard and that EoE works xD

i hope will be a progresive realm, you don't release toc/icc in first days right?...first naxx after ulduar etc.... :)
