The numbers may be low for WoW, but it is still incredibly high in comparison to every other MMO on the market. This isn't even to mention that they made more money this year than they did this time last year. The game isn't designed to be f2p, and likely never will be.
Free to play has been sort of speculative so I don't think we can say for sure that one it will go F2P. In terms of the actual expansion, the overview for it looks pretty cool, might renew to check out the new continent :D
I'm not a huge fan of the new expansion for various reasons. (Also hi, I'm new!)
I've always considered the Night Elves my favorite race(And I can hear you asking why I don't like Legion then since it seems pretty NElf-centric), but there's a fair few reasons. I don't go too in-depth because I don't like starting arguments.
Also it does seem like a pretty blatant attempt to ride the TBC-nostalgia train for as long as they can milk it.
There are 2 thread already cmon... admins hello, merge them?
I think it will fail just like WoD...
And next expansion after legion wow will prolly go f2p...
Well i think we should actually wait to see how the expansion works out before thinking it's gonna ''fail'' altho WOD has destroyed a lot of the trust and rep of Blizzard. Not sure where everyone is getting the idea that WOW is going F2P but i think that will never happen since it's pretty much their buisness model and income for the game (even tho they have loads of money otherwise from other games)
I feel asleep during reveal, that's how good it was.
Lol blizzard and activision is the same company. It's called Activision Blizzard inc.
Anyways they have like 70 million players accross all their online games. That's quiet a lot so losing some subscribers on WoW doesn't mean the end of the game.
