Older females are now the largest gamer demographic

This subject comes up in global a lot, and I mean a lot-- no matter what realm either Warmane or retail or otherwise. "There are no girls here" people will say. "If they play a female character they're always a guy" they will say. "Your mom and your sister don't count hurrrr" ok. That's some pretty ******ed logic, considering the number of people who qualify as either or are 100% female.

Let's put this to rest shall we?

That's right. Your home boy from the guild you've been smashing the arena with might very well not be.

Assuming this is a trusted source, also assuming those statistics are from over the world.

You can't expect logic on this server...most players are young boys who think it's cool to hate females. I'm told everyday that I'm not a female, I'm really a 50 year old guy and that females don't get online because they all belong in the kitchen.

hmmm, seems I was a little bit to confusing. Let me rectify the error.

Translation : Yes, there are "females"(as a quote) on the internet.

And while we're a it, always question the accuracy as sample sizes are almost never sufficient.

Does "game players" include people who play Iphone games like Angry Bird or Candy Crush? I expressly remember a thread on this topic back in retail during Cataclysm where the numbers from Blizzard for female WoW players was something under 15%.

Many women play games but as i can see most of them are casual gamers (that's not a bad thing, don't get me wrong).
Last wow expansions were made for casual customers and maybe the fem population has doubled? Just assuming now

Very few of my ex GF's actually knew how to cook something decent, it was mostly me doing the cooking. Maybe it IS time to get them back in. :P

Im sure some people saying girls doesn't play wow are trolls or they mean it as a joke. They usually say "G.I.R.L. guy in real life" but mean it as a joke.

According to that data ... Most of people here should be 31 years old on average. But as someone with a little sense would suspect that a global overall trends (Especially one that counts Mobile Gaming as overall gaming) may not apply to certain particular demographics.
