Will Lordaeron be a Custom or a Blizzlike realm?

Hello guys ^^. Ok, I understand you want to make it for the "hardcore" players, but what are all these non-blizzlike changes that for some people that would like to play this amazing expansion because of it's raids, dungeons and current class skills, talents and what not, seems like you are making a Custom realm instead of a "complete" experience of this expansion.

What would be the final result of this project?
Would you lower the rates on another WoTLK realm for people that really want a complete experience of the expansion?

Also, want to hear some thoughts about this topic.

If you can't name it, what makes it more hardcore than any 3.3.5a other realm?

Not 'Custom' though. Lordaeron is simulating, at the moment, a patch before 3.3.5 (which is when RDF was added). And before someone chimes in 'But they might not add RDF later' I don't recall there every being solid confirmation of this, could be wrong, but until then that can't be argued.

I know all the design features..I'm asking the OP to name some custom content s/he came across, so we can decide if it is custom or not and if it is, why it's implemented.

If they forbid Multiboxing on lordearon , this feature would be costum .
I dont multibox at all and tbh i dont care about that , but i would hate to see multiboxing disabled (thats not blizzlike) and rdf disabled (i dont care if blizzard added it later , the talents and stuff are all wotlk based so rdf should be enabled 2 )!

But thats only my opinoin , as i said it in other posts if molten decides to stay with disabled rdf its also okay

I don't think you can class a rule as 'custom content'...
The talents 'and stuff' are built into the core itself. The only way to make talents have the same mechanics as, say, their vanilla counter-parts would be to just use a Vanilla core/client (whatever the technical term is), and I'm pretty sure the community would be pissed at having to re-download a new client and new add-ons every time we went up an expac. Not to mention that means the staff would have to redo all their work with every new client.
But to use that as an argument to have RDF back now would also be saying 'let's have every raid open, all zones open, dk's available and level 80 cap right now'...see where I'm going with this?

Let's not use the term Blizz-like in this please, that's a whole other argument>.>

why cant i classify a rule as custom content? i always thought blizz-like is as near as it could get to the retail server , wich means rules scirpts etc should be as near as possible right?
so rules are also important if u want to make a realm blizz-like.

Atleast the community deserverd a pool for the rdf thing !

but i dont want to spread hate or anything like that , if molten decides to stay like that its okay atleast for me

Okay by that logic Warmane should have a monthly subscription of £8 a month...that is Blizz's rule right? Oh and marketplace should be disabled on every realm....along with the vote shop, except for the few mounts that Blizz sell...because that is how blizz has it right?

Did u paid 8 dollar a month for molten before lordearon released? i dont think so

all i want to say is if Multiboxing deserves a pool, shouldnt we get atleast also a pool for the whole rdf thing?

Yes, if it passes Lord will be the one and only Realm to not allow Multiboxer's, what is your point?
Actually until a few weeks ago I was paying £8 a months (well actually more) to Warmane, but that is far besides the point ^.^

Okayyy I see your angle, you don't care about the OP or this thread, from seeing your posts in other threads you are butthurt over the fact there is no RDf and there wasn't a chance to argue to keep it (Poll). There was a poll for your information, it was community created with the permission of staff, but staff even said in that thread that the results of the poll would not change their minds one bit. They didn't want RDF, and they was still deciding on whether to implement it with ICC dungeons, like on Retail, if they don't then (back on-topic) that will be the first custom content of this realm.

no, lord was originally made as a realm for the staff to play on, they then decided to open it to the players. thus there are some things that we as players can have imput in, and some things we don't. ranting about it on the forums isn't gonna change the staff's mind.

Im not pissed at all about the rdf thing, i play mostly on deatwing and just created a char on lord because i wanted to see the starting zones after the start of lord ^^

about that whole pool thing for rdf , i and alot of the people here dont use the forum on a daily base . mostly i use it to inform myself about things like bugs or server downtimes (u will find always one or two threads about server going off without news on the main page, posts like "wtf server is down wtf" :P) , wich means most ppl didnt see the pool about the rdf back then , now lordearon is released alot of ppl are going to the forum to check news/bugs etc and a pool would reach way more players then it did at the first time.

one more questions do u rly thing its "fair" that multiboxing (multiboxing and rdf are atm the hot topics on lordearon) got a pool , and rdf doesnt get a pool?

pallzdani i totaly get what u mean , i still think the community of lordearon should decide if they get rdf sooner (now) or later (in wotlk).

and now im going to play a bit :D

Well it would make no difference if more people saw the 'Unofficial' poll for RDf, because like I said, staff notified the thread that the result on the poll made no difference.

And yes I think it is fair. The staff had a vision of Lord that didn't include RDF, so they don't need community input on that. Obviously Multiboxing didn't affect how they envisioned and planned Lord so they decided to take community input on the matter.
I do agree, personally I would prefer RDF to be back with ICC dungeons, but it's not a disaster if it isn't.

True, but I don't believe it will be permanent right? I imagine it will be reverted back to it's normal damage and health number's after the next tier is released to simulate the nerf. So for the 'Final result of this project' I think it has no affect.

RDF never got an official poll. That thread was left open so people could discus if they liked, while being fully aware that there was going to be no RDF no matter the result.

Using the whole "Blizz-like" as a base for any argument makes it invalid by default. Some people will call bugs "not Blizz-like," while the major fact you don't pay a subscription already makes it very "not Blizz-like." It's the Administration who decides what that term means for Warmane and how far we'll go to try to get to a cone of retail. If the way we are making Lordaeron makes you consider it "custom," feel free to call it like that. The server was opened with a vision in mind and with design features we wanted it to have. We aren't tying ourselves down with what each and every person out there might want to call "Blizz-like." You can play there according to our vision, or play in one of our other servers, with their increased rates (there are no official plans of changing those rates).
