New Point System? Items are way more expensive and take a lot longer to get.

Correct me if I'm wrong here

Example:

Before the change I bought an Aesir's Edge for 107 points. It took me 11 days to get, collecting 10 points every day which gave me 110 points.

Under the new point system the same item is 17 points.

With the new and "improved "Activity Rank I can collect .8 points a day (equivalent to 8 points under the old system)

After 11 days I would have 8.80 points... not nearly enough to obtain the same exact item.

It would take 21 days to get it that same item now due to it being the equivalent of 170 points...this is...better? lol

Not that i'm bashing Warmane... cause you guys are great... but I fail to see how this is a better point system than before.

Seems to me you just made items cost more and take more time to obtain... : /

"Better" doesn't has to mean "better/easier/cheaper for you."

the points shop isn't meant as a way to gear your character within a month or 2. the new system is fine, it encourages you to you know, actually work for your gear.

Except when I asked in the forum what "squished" means, I used this same example.

I asked... "So something that would have cost 107 points before... will be what... 10 now?"

The response? : Yes

Maybe they changed their minds?

you can collect 1.2 points per day - you just need more achievemenst and never banned

The system is working as intended. Sure there are a lot of players who can't gear their characters using vote points anymore , but that's intentional , you are supposed to play the game. That's how the administrators of this server want it.

Can anyone find any items same or a little bit cheaper than before just as edifice posted they would be? Also why are some items more expensive than others at the same item level ?

Some of the old items have indeed had their points increased. When edifice said he would squish costs by a factor of 10 he means that nothing is going to cost 100's of points anymore. Basically he squished everything by a factor of 10 and then changed the prices to fit the new system. The idea of the new system is to allow players to pick up a couple of really useful pieces throughout their raiding experience. It is not designed to serve as a means of gearing your whole character but rather to help you on your raiding career / journey to BiS

See the problem I have is that they never iterated this at all. They said the point accumulation would be divided by 10... and the cost of every item would be divided by 10.

So an item that was 107 points before the change would be 10.7 now... that would make more sense because you know... MATH..

Instead it's 17 points for some reason.

Why wasn't that item 170 points before the change?

Bought a Titanskin Cloak for 47 points a month ago. That cloak is now 18 points... or if you will 180 points now.

Seriously, all they did was increase the prices on everything in the point store.

If they actually did what they said they were going to do... that cloak should be 4.7 points.

Why are you complaining? You're getting items for FREE, clicking a button does absolutely nothing for Warmane at the moment. It's for your self benefit. They didn't even have to make a vote shop for players, they could've just stuck with the coin shop and called it good. If someone gave you free food, would you complain?

He has a point. Whether or not I agree with him, they did say that the items would have their cost be divided by 10. Again, we have an issue with them being upfront with their decisions, or at least sticking to what they divulge.

Meaning they squished the points by 10x, and then adjusted the costs.

The only thing you can do is farm them chevos and get a higher rank so you can at least get 1.something each day.

I normally use the vote shop for xmog gear, since most of the content is shut on MOP, its gonna take a while before I can get my required set for my to be enh shaman.

Most people just assumed that the costs adjusted was about the services cost to better suit the new system
Yet they said that the system would be more rewarding, I just fail to see how when we're getting less points to buy things that are costing more than before, and most people used to only buy transmog, pets and mounts for points, not really affecting gameplay in any way, just waiting to see what will be done about it yet as I dont care about buying BiS gear for points, which seems to be the new focus of the point system
