Lordaeron Naxx25 T7.5 Frost DK DPS BiS List

Hello once again. I'm Double from <Murmur> Alliance side of Warmane's Lordaeron server. Bringing you another BiS List this time for t7.5 content. Unlike the Pre-Raid BiS. There isn't much wiggle room for what your gear is going to look like in full T7.5 gear.

Ilvl alone is going to give you a great deal of STR on the peice and alows for your EXP cap.

Couple of options here, but overall you want this for Hit Rating even if it's a small amount. You don't need the hit from this necklace, but it's nice.

These shoulders are BiS. No questions asked here. You'll need it for 2 peice.

Nothing better than a pure dps 226 max stat cloak, thing is too good.

These gloves are nuts. The amount of ATP+stats you get from this is insane. The only other gloves that compete would be your Teir gloves or the ones from Horseman that have Expertise. If you cannot afford the Dalaran STR/EXP ring listed below then you'll have to slot in the http://wotlk.openwow.com/item=40347 from Four Horseman.

No gem slot, but the other belt has Hit/Haste or something and if you need the Hit then swap it out. You'll probably have to gem the Expertise though.

Big money needs to be spent here, but this Ring pretty much carrys you through the whole expansion. Well worth the gold guys.

This ring is required for Expertise cap, but if you're still waiting on your gloves from The Eye then you'll most likely need to fill the hit rating you're missing with a Hit Ring, you'll also have to slot in Zeliek's Gloves.

Tbh there's no justification needed here, unless the Sapphiron25m trinket has a broken proc rate you'll get more out of this.

Relic: There's only one of these in 25m, it increases Obliterate base damage and is bought with badges so it's really easy to get. Also drops from some bosses, but 25 Emblems are well spent. Imo this should be the 1st thing you purchase from the Valor Vendor.

You'll Dual Weild these. The only other weapon here would be Silent Crusader, but since we're not aiming ARP it's almost a wasted stat.

http://imgur.com/BGzclCc Here are your total stats. All the gemslots here are filled with Strength. This is also giving you a 10.64% spellhit and with Unholy talents/boomkin you're almost at the 17% spell cap. If you're alliance with Draenei in your party you'll get it. I'm just referenceing this to demonstrate how much Hit you have currently with the gear so you can pick or choose something better if it suits you. Missing Dot applications and ****ing up a rotation is what annoys me most. If you're Human you'll need alot less EXP since those weapons give 3EXP as they are maces. I Doubt anyone here would want a BiS ARP list but for some reason if i get enough people asking me for one then i'll put it up here aswell. W/o epic gems and the gear currently provided ARP is less DPS than keeping to this list or one that better suits you.

There are only a handful of decently geared DK's all of which kinda talk to each other on Alliance. Apparently there's on in BIZZNO thats pretty much the only one i havn't spoken to. So far it's a tight mesh also, alot has changed in 5 days. Ppl are buying gear now so you're seeing a bit more DK's. What I said about the necklace is you don't need the hit rating, but it's nice. You'd hit spell cap with it, but you're not far off w/o it since it's only 28Hit Rating. You could just as easily gem 1 solid hit gem, or 2 mixed hit gems and be capped since that 28 puts you over spell cap. I'm guessing you just wanted to jump on someone for no reason here right? Keep those posts to yourself pls. No reason to be rude.

To explain in more detail, all of the geared DK's that speak within the circle i mentioned run the same build, same spec, and all pretty much agree on everything. Me and the fellow, among others were having discussions about other things. I dont have those conversations with anyone since we all just agree and talk about other ****. I have no competition in comparing math/specs/BiS lists... whatever you feel you want to talk about.

You make it sound as if you have no competition amongst other dks when it comes to skill/gear which makes you sound like an obnoxious douche, especially since you have nothing to back it up with. IF you were referring to no competition amongst "theorycrafter" it's just even more sad, in what world is theorycrafting even a competition?

As for the necklace, even if you could use the hit (you really don't, spell hit cap is so ****ing meh), Malygos neck beats it 10 out 10 times anyway. For some reason you seem to have the idea that ARP isn't worth anything which is just plain stupid. Sure, it doesn't compare to strength but it's not that far behind crit/haste and it's definetly on par with hit that only benefits spells.

Guess someone **** in your cornflakes and need to vent, I get it. Arp isnt worth **** unless you're able to stack it. It's not at all equalled to Crit or Haste, it's not better than Fool's unless you're planning on grabbing more than just 60 or w/e is on that neck. Let's just say 60 for sake of argument. You say that spell hit is "Fkn Meh" and the time you run in to start your opener and miss HB/IT and realise you have no frost fever on the target and all of a sudden you're playing catch up with runes/deathrunes you'll understand. Missing an ability is complete cancer and frustrating when dealing with a set rotation. Good luck with that m9. Also, saying no competition in Theorycrafting i agree was bad wording... w/e doesnt matter you got my point. Frost was revised and buffed quite a bit through Wrath. Ending in 3.3.5 no Frost DK's had to go through this pre- ToC gear grind. FDK's never had to deal with the fact STR is a bigger dps stat > ARP cap. They didnt realise that ARP is complete trash since 60ARP = about 5% and at that point it's the lowest stat value. Hit/EXP>STR>Crit>Haste>ARP... also Haste is complete **** w/o ARP and is only modified by ARP. When ARP capped your Autos are worth quite a bit more... and haste gives more ATS... so there you go. Other than that Haste is **** in current gear, and arp is **** in current gear, but i'll take 60Haste>60Arp that's for sure.

You also stated I have nothing to back any of this up with? Uhm... mk what do you want to know? You obviously havnt read my Pre-BiS guide, idc if you linked it previously you obviously didnt read it. I've dont most of the math on the peices for you, i've explained in detail why or why not, and left open room for questions on peices so that I may answer in detail if it was needed. 226 Maly neck is good, but has 1 less stat since ARP is wasted, the hit cap is done on this BiS gear list. If you don't like it then don't use it, it's here for anyone having issues and can at least use it as a basis.

What are you basing it on that Arp is worthless at entry gear levels? It's nowhere near its value at ICC BiS levels (at which point it surpasses Str), but it's not worthless either. Based off that same exact same spreadsheet you're using, it has a higher value than both Crit and Haste.

Has a higher value once it's stacked. You wont notice a dps increase with ARP>ATP or STR at lower gear levels. Take the Incisor Fragment or w/e from Heroic DTK and the Dragon Blood trinket from Keristraza in The Nexus. Take both and do a 1min dps burst test, and a 5minute dps test on a dummy using both trinkets twice per fight. You'll see how just that 200 or 300 w/e arp you get is a dps loss.
Another reasoning behind ARP not being great is the fact our Priority rotation is actually a tad different. In ICC you'll only be using HB with Rime (Freezing Fog) procs or when you cant Frost Strike with Killing Machine. Right now HB is your hardest hitting ability doing 1500-2000+ more damage than Obliterate (counting in both MH and OH swing) that being said STR will modify that damage not ARP. So the Rotation atm will Prioritize HB on every Killing Machine proc if possible with Frost Strike as a filler. It'll change ofc with ARP later on when we have more passive ATP/STR on our gear. Check out the dps on the trinkets though, you'll see why ARP is valued so low in my eyes. It's about a 400 dps loss in my current gear.. sometimes more depending.

I have such a hard time believing this to be true, could you provide me with some proof of this? If what you're saying is actually right my character is broken beyond belief because Obliterate > Howling blast, no matter what I do.

At least o the PTR in naxx, Howling (Crit) was hitting bearly harder than Oblit was, it was about 200 more damage.

My oblits are stronger than HB on lord and were stronger even on PTR....

Wait.. Crit HB vs hit Obliterate or what? That just makes no sense at all to compare.. Also what something does(did) on the ptr is kinda irrelevant, especially if it differs from lordaeron. If anyone can provide any proof at all that HB > OB I would be very interested in it (and by that I don't mean crit vs hit).

HB Crit vs Oblit Crit

HB was hitting harder than a Frost Strike crit too, to the point I was spending my KM procs on a Howling over a KM Frost Strike.

you dont hb unless its KM procs or cleave, this is a nobrainer

how much Hit is this Setup running?

Consider, as Frost-DK u only need 4 or 5 % Hit, due to the Talent "Nerves of Cold Steel" that reduces your required Hit by 3 %.

If you read the first post it's pretty clearly stated, he has opted to go for spellnhit cap and not melee hit (which is fine if you want to do inferior dps seeing how hit above melee cap is around 0.5-0.6 EP).
