You happen to have black ice glyph?
I read some time ago while looking for a solution to disable accidental alt tabbing for WoW,that if ice trap is glyphed,it has extra visual effects that can tank your FPS in certain situations (depending on your system)
I do not have a black ice glyph.
Enemy Ice trap Problem.
Yeah, I got exactly the same problem. Like I have 100 fps and when a hunter uses ice trap, my fps drops to 2-4. So, anyone got a solution for this ****?
Try to turn off projected textures.
Also,unless you are playing on 100x30 resolution,no way your system can hold 100 fps and drop to 2-4 from a simple spell effect.
It's a new bug that happens to everyone, the cause is that if many enemies stand on the ice trap, the log gets spammed with 'snares' every 0.1 sec. instead of some sort of 'toggle snare if on the trap' which makes the FPS drop super low. I hope they can fix this bug asap. And turning off projected textures makes the game unplayable in PVP because you can't even see flares then.

It is not a problem.
A few months ago, there was no problem about My pc system.
Currently projected textures Disabled and Set to a graphics Custom - low.

It probably started around the same time staff fixed it to show identification colour over enemy visuals, like red monk healing spheres, red hunter flare and such. As mentioned above, having it glyphed into more radius ice trap, additional snakes from snake trap, dire beast, "crows" talents, fire trap and opening with stampede is pretty much fps killer even for pcs wich run 120fps at normal.
Faced people doing this to me in arena, total douche mode. Luckily they don't have skill to back this up.
I get this as well. Only with that trap and only sometimes. Very annoying.
It does make sense. 0.1sec log inputs will cripple any system if enough players stand on it.Quote:

got a new computer about a month ago and just started playing my hunter in pvp. I haven't noticed any drops in fps with any traps on ultra.
He means when you stand in the enemys ice trap. But lets take a moment to thank OP for posting this bug on the public forum so every hunter can exploit it, which now happens in every bg. Good job.Quote:

The bug is related to the glyph and not to the trap itslef. Before this was posted i had 0 problems standing in ice trap, alone and with other people. Troll someone else.Quote:

Yes some hunters don't know that it's bugged but the ones that know it mostly abuse it ...
