Rogues and PvE

Hello guys. I've join this server 2 days ago (but long time wow player) and created a rogue.
I'm level 22 and I like it but Im a bit worried if, as a rogue, I have a place in raids.
Do people acept or like Rogues in their RAID groups? Or should I choose another class if I want to PvE?

Of course you do. Are rogues the most desirable? Probably not, but they are needed just as any other DPS class. Play what you like and what you believe you can excel at and a raid spot will come

allot of raid comps actually favor 2 rogues, 1 combat and 1 assassination, simply to do the fact that you simply do not want to have 8 people roll on plate gear. Daggers drop for a reason

A Combat Rogue is desirable for any 25-man raid because of the physical damage debuff they provide.

This isn't 2012, a rogue is desirable for any raid because they do good dps now. It's no longer the min/max struggle of years past where a half-dozen rogues on each server had LoD. Pick muti or combat, gear it, go have fun.

Yes rouges are slowly becoming gods of wotlk.

Im also leveling a Rogue. And I would like to ask: so you can just pick Assassination or Combat and be able to do strong dps anywhere? There is nothing like "one spec doing 2-5k dps more than another bcz of bugs or gear level" ?

At low gear it would be better to go assassination because combat is too gear and cap dependant. Later on, combat outperforms assassination in fights that are not tank'n'spank, which is like 90% of the content. Additionally, raid leaders tend to favor combat rogues more as they buff the raid with 4% damage increase.
