As the title said, why the hell is scamming a banable offence? I mean if people are dumb enough to get scammed they deserve it. Making it a carebear game where smart people cant trick dumb people feels like a bit of a shame. Especially on a private server.
I mean, look at eve online where you can scam all day long and no one cares, the system works great and it creates no work for the GMs.
So why is scamming something negative on this server, why remove the ***** tax?

Ninjalooting is bannable for a reason - victim is not able to prevent it.
Meanwhile standart scamming is based on victim's stupidity except that situation when a thief got money and went offline.
I don't say this, because I have been scammed, but in my opinion scammers are just lazy people.
At least many of the scammers are dumb them self. They don't know how to work the normal way, and are too lazy to do it (or learn it), so they have to work their way to get (for example gold) in other ways. I look at it as dumb people abusing other dumb people, or lazy people abusing dumb people.
Why it should not be legal, well - it destroys a lot of the fun for many that do get scammed. Many people may be new to the game, and it will just be a game breaker if they get scammed and lose everything, because they are new at a game.
Also, if you invest a lot of you time - and you are actually smart in-game, you should not be punished, because you don't know how every single scammer work their way.

At least the coffee makes you happy. In my opinion scamming is not only about directly "value", but also time spent. Time spent farming the gold, and being able to invest the gold/money on something you like. Instead of someone who are lazy stealing it from you without you getting anything good from it.Quote:
